Yuck. Things are lining up for USC. OTOH, the Florida schools should probably do a little better fighting Georgia and Alabama for that in state talent.

Lining up for USC? Riley is balls deep, no pun intended, in some wifey issues.

So who replaces Cristobal at Oregon? Is Matt Campbell a fit?

this is a strange but subtle issue. At one time the irish coaching staff, in some way, indicated that they were shifting focus from Florida to Georgia. I* am going to try to paraphrase this, but will probably botch it. The theory was that Georgia had better high school football programs with MORE STABILITY in family and community, while, more or less, Florida was drug infested.

Already reports he wants to steal Lebby from Ole Miss so even though this isn’t official, it’s done. Suprised he’d want to go up tempo O, will make his D look not as good

Didn’t realize Lebby was a Sooner. That makes more sense. Probably an effort to keep some recruits and goes from the Portal too

Joe Brady loathed recruiting as much as Kelly, Hiestand, and Ty Willingham. I doubt he's back in college unless he doesn't have an NFL option.

Sounds like Mario is happening

This is crazy. The way Miami is handling this is bullshit. Haven’t even fired their head coach and are actively going after Mario. There is no loyalty in college football.

Who is supposed to be loyal to Manny though? The AD is gone too.

Probably never been a carousel that has effected the landscape of recruiting as much as this one. Massive impacts. If we assume Mario is taking the Miami job:

- Florida just became significantly harder to go into. Norvell was recruiting better given his results already. Mullen didn’t recruit at UF enough. Miami didn’t recruit at the level they should. Now you get 2 super recruiters coming into the state. Alabama and Clemson big time in particular take a ton from Florida.

- California and by extent NV and AZ just became way harder. That changes now for Oregon in particular and QB recruiting across the country.

Clemson and Oregon I think in particular “lose” from this all. Oregon loses Mario potentially and USC will rise. Clemson has been killing in Florida and loses their DC, possibly OC as well

Blows my mind that Oregon can't keep their coaches with all the money they have

Even w the promised commitments Miami is making, I have to think for him to leave Oregon for Miami it’s all about emotion for him there. Really unlucky for Oregon in a sense

Will the Bears wait until rhe 1/9 finale aginst the Vikes to fire Nagy and replace him with Ryan Day or do it a week earlier? Osu will have played its bowl game bt then.

If that proves to be a fairly certain deal before early signing day, anyone we can flip from OSU?

Reports from this last week are that Sean Peyton's time at NO is potentially over and there's interest in bears job. Ryan Day to Chicago is no given

It's interesting. Day seems really confident that he is not going. Now, every coach says that until the leave, we all know that. Plus, his salary is now shockingly low, especially when you look at just the Big 10. So there would be reason for him to look to the NFL.

What I wonder about is whether Fickell is looking to pull a Vrabel. It was just reported he interviewed for the Lions last year, so we at least know there is some interest. With ND seemingly off the table for the time being, you have to wonder if Day does stay, does that push Fickell to the NFL?

ESPN reporting that Clemson OC Tony Elliott is favorite for Duke job.

I was really hoping he was going to the UVA job and that Michigan's Josh Gattis would then take the Duke job.

1) Clemson down year, both Coord's are out, AD is favorite for Miami AD job. Can Dabo keep this going with all these changes? Is their class poachable?
2) Gattis leaving Michigan could seal Walker to ND?

If Cristobal goes to Miami, does Chip Kelly return to UCLA? Contract is set up for him to make the move if Oregon is open to the idea.
