Ah the war of BK vs media on who’s been the salty backhanded one first. A annual tradition

They started confirming rumors after a loss that they have apparently known for a while. Also spare me the would have been nice to prepare, you’re a journalist I hope you can think of a few questions on the fly. Two way straight of saltiness

Haha. That's great. I like to think he did that just to stir them after last press conference he told them he would be upfront and forthright with them (about the QB position).

Hmm, all the same by putting Tyree and some walk-ons on BK probably figured the media isn't going to badger them about last week's loss. They're going to ask Tyree about coming home to Virginia, which they did...and I don't know what they'd ask the walk-ons. Just spitballin' really, I've got nothin' else.

TOM to random walk-on.....How many sacks do you think you will get in practice this week? If practice stats counted, would you replace Tuck as the all-time sack leader? True or false, Aaron Donald isn't as productive as you are in practice this year?

Agree, I imagine BK addressed the loss and wants everyone to move on. Time to prep for VT.

? anyways angelo can get bent....interviews such as these are freaking lay up questions to hear the players give coach speak....nothing is gained from these interviews other than clicks to sites....the media is OWED nothing from the team...

but how about some real journalism where you come up w/ getting to know the player/walk on....

I think this may be BK's best move yet in terms of having his guys' backs.

He knows the media is about to grill any of the starters about the setback against UC, and they're probably going to be fielding questions (OL, WR, big-picture stuff) that are going to put them into awkward situations, talking about their teammates and whatnot. They guys are probably all smart enough to stick to the coach speak, as PANDFAN said, but this still saves them from having to be talking heads/PR.

Instead, he has the team vote on which players will do media availability, and the team gets to throw their own friends into the fire as something fun and different.

So he's getting his usual guys out of the media crosshairs for a minute, getting WOPU Nation some shine, AND he gets to mess with the beat for a week... well done, BK.

Amen. I just saw Angelo's comment for the first time. Came off a bit like a spoiled, whiny brat. How often has Kelly done this...has he ever done it? He obviously had a reason, he's not going to just change the lineup like that without a reason. Do your job and don't be a little bitch airing your laundry out for the world, especially for a one time deal.

Yeah that’s a no from me too,… I’m cool never playing them ever again,… f the school, the fans, everything about them. We will beat up on them here and there, they’ll beat up on us here and there and no joy will be had either way bc they’re just totally insufferable

They literally spent all 2018 trying to argue that they were better and had the media even pumping that storyline. F them.

Mitchell Evans
Lorenzo Styles

Deon Colzie

Quick, which one of those seven are you absolutely SURE will never start for Notre Dame?

Damn, we somehow had 4 teams ahead of us lose yesterday, but we didn't move up one spot. BYU and Arkansas both dropped behind us, while Ole Miss and Kentucky jumped us. Kentucky I get, they're undefeated. Ole Miss lost by 3 scores to Bama though, and their win yesterday was a tight one against Arkansas where they managed to give up 51 points in regulation and still win by one. I didn't think we'd move much given the performance, but at the same time it's weird to think you're #14 and four teams lose only to have you stay put.

The best part is that (I’m pretty sure) at least 5 were on the field at the same time last night- Buchner, Alt, Diggs, Colzie, Styles. Evans might have been out there too, not really sure.

Not sure why they couldn’t get Jordan Johnson more snaps…

Not a big deal. (Non playoff) bowls have gone from the most important game of the season to the least, they are now glorified spring games with opt outs galore and back ups getting their chance. Only thing certain they will put us vs somebody better than us for the ratings
