Josh Adams reminds me of an old school back, I watched some Gale Sayers highlights and they have a really similar run style. Not a lot of shifty jukes, but hitting the hole hard, and always running upfield

Eric Dickerson would have been a better comparison.

Dickerson was the guy that ran up-field in a heartbeat! Exactly who you were talking about. Sayers on the other had, did whatever he wanted, and went wherever he felt like. Once, he even ordered a lemon aide and hotdog from a vendor in the stands, sat up a stool and table on the 35 yard line, ate it all, and still scored a touchdown! The rumors of him getting mustard stains on his game pants are untrue.

If Gayle Sayers had the offensive line of Emmitt Smith, or OJ, and had missed the major knee injury, (which was deemed irrecoverable in those days,) let alone had the technological advantage players have today, he may have been the first 100k runner in football!

This thread is a tribute to a kid with enough sand to stand up to insufficient adults. Read that as you will. Recruiting has gone insane, and I am not sure I think it is the kids involved.

I don't care if he got pissed off and retracted his plans to commit to ND, or if he is pulling a Kaindoh, good for him.

As far as the information leaking from around him, adults in his camp, etc., have you seen the assholes that insert themselves and surround these kids. This is nothing new, although it is worse now because there is more money involved. It all is filthy dirty.

Kelly said that the creepiest thing about coaching at ND was all the people that followed you and acted like they knew you, and were your close friends.

Yea, I think he had a change of heart on just how hard he was going to play this out. He did an interview with Loy where his quotes gave it away as well. And you gotta love this kid for his quote.

“I don’t even know what it is. I can’t even explain why I like it. That’s why I love it. It’s like that first girl. You fall in love with her at first sight. That’s what it felt like at Notre Dame. The academics, the football, the prestige. Notre Dame has it all. They’re very much in it for me.”

I still see more of a comparison to CJ Prosise. Theo was a little guy coming out of HS, 5-9, 180. This kid is similar in size to Prosise and within a couple of years he'll be 6-0, 220. He'll be big enough to handle however many carries you want to give him.

...or crack any RB coming into the secondary from his SS position. ;-)

Hahaha I actually really liked that one. Much better than the bus pull or the skydiving or the run through Gotham.

But so much disrespect to Bama and Tennessee by throwing their stuff in the water.

247Sports Take: Holmes commits to Irish "carbon copy" of Procise

Holmes 'infatuated' by Notre Dame, picks the Irish

Pretty awesome line about Pouncey here:
“I’m headed to the University of Notre Dame and to be honest, my gut was the biggest factor behind the decision,” said Holmes. “Leaving campus, I just had a feeling that Notre Dame was where I was supposed to be. I was infatuated with everything about the institution. I hadn’t felt like that anywhere else.”
...
“The moment I walked off the field after the Irish Invasion,” said Holmes, when asked when he knew Notre Dame was his future home. “My new friend Jordan Pouncey had tears in his eyes. I asked him what was wrong and he simply said that he was about to commit and it was emotional for him. Choosing this school is the hard choice because it is the right choice. To see someone not afraid to make that right choice, it made it even easier for me. That moment was unlike any other. I had a clear glimpse of my future for the first time.

Liked that video, super corny but didn't take itself too seriously (looking at you "P-Money").
