I kept wanting to fill my wife in on all the stuff I figured she was missing out on by just decided to let it go and let her enjoy what she gets from the show...

Well I had already explained R+L=J in detail to my wife when Bran had the first ToJ vision and by sunday night she had already completely forgotten it all apparently. She asked me "so is that lady like a whore?". I just told her "No, they will explain it." because I didn't have the strength to go through it all again lol.

So you might be fine spoiling stuff for her, there's a chance she won't remember any of it anyways.

What did you guys think of the fan-servicey things they threw into that episode? I loled when Daario said "fuck Meereen," echoing every reader and viewer's sentiments perfectly. However, I thought Olenna shutting down the Sand Snakes with her sharp tongue was a bit too on-the-nose. It was in character for Olenna but not for the Snakes.

She doesn't know yet that Baelish betrayed Ned, right? I wonder how she'll come to learn that crucial piece of intel.

My guess is from The Hound.

I also think we still get a version of Cleganebowl. Just a different version than the book.

No info.

Yeah, she has no idea about that.

Sansa does know that Little Finger killed Joffrey, her Aunt Lysa, and I think Sansa was also right there when Lysa said something about poisoning her husband Jon Arryn and blaming it on the Lannisters though bc LF told her to do those things. Sansa has enough dirt on him to get him killed 10x over already.

I hope Arya re-unites with the Hound, he drops that little nugget about LF to her if he hasn't already (I can't remember) and that Arya kills LF's ass in a horrific manner.

Arya was one of my favorites but her story line sucked for awhile there. Glad she's finally back to kicking ass bc she's pretty awesome.

“There’s definitely something in her that’s… it’s kind of a jealousy toward Jon. He’s getting all of the credit for basically Sansa saving his ass. … She looks at Littlefinger knowing that he would have put her as Queen in the North, and given her the credit she deserves. I don’t think she’s gunning for the Iron Throne anytime soon, but she realizes that Littlefinger might be a better ally than she thought, a more trustworthy ally than she thought.”

Interesting that she believes her character "deserves credit for saving his ass". That's really not how I see it. Her brother was not only willing to fight for her in the old way against Ramsay, but then knowingly walked into an impossible battle where death was imminent. He could have even killed Ramsay, but let her have her vengeance.

The people followed Jon into battle, not Sansa. In fact, the one group of soldiers she brought to the table, came almost too late. She kept it from him and he almost got killed for it. Jon doesn't owe her shit.

I cannot agree more. The only credit she deserves is that Jon and his men are alive due to her.

amen. preach on.

Fuck Sansa. She's always been my least favorite Stark aside from Rickon, who was just fucking useless on the tv show.

Arya, Robb, Ned, and Jon were the only ones I liked.

Catelyn was always a petty little bitch who was a cunt to Jon for no reason, Bran fucks everything up, Rickon was just useless, and Sansa was always a fucking bitch from the very beginning of the show.

Fan theory I just read said that show Arya is taking over some of the storyline from book Lady Stoneheart. Makes me wonder if she will end up with the Brotherhood in S6.

Figures now that I'm caught up everyone is talking about "The Night Before" instead. Great season, thought the finale was meh though.

*Question: I didn't catch the whole transaction between Ned and his sister. Obviously she is Jon's mother, but was the father revealed?

looks like they won't be filming on the same schedule as normal. Meaning we will have to wait longer than normal for about a 7 episode season

HBO released a graphic that says it's Rhaegar Targaryen:

I'll gladly take that label if it means I don't have to decipher this fucking info graphic:

Whole lotta shaking going on there. Thanks Piombino. I can make out the answer to my question at the very least.

There's been plenty of evidence in the show, and some of it is written very plainly when you know what you're looking for...

But unless you sit down to binge-watch while taking notes and/or have a super memory for minute details (or cheat and watch a Youtube compilation), all of the hints about Rhaegar and Lyanna's relationship are actually pretty sparse and disconnected.

The most obvious scene is a conversation between Sansa and Littlefinger, which makes a whole lotta sense now that the infographic is out there.

I think it was already a well known fact but GoT producers fully confirmed that season 8 will be the final season. A spin-off or movie following season 8 is a great possibility.

I personally just hope it's a spin-off and not a movie. Obviously I would go see a movie but it wouldn't be the smartest idea in terms of fanfare. Profitability on the other hand is a different story. I honestly think it would crush all records.

I think the most obvious spin-off favorite would be the Targaryen's ruling. They speak too much about those times in the books and show for it NOT to be a/the spin-off.

I can see spin-offs including Targaryen's ruling/Beratheon rebellion and overtaking, the Valyrian ruling and the Doom, as well as the White Walker army and the children of the forest.

Any of those story lines I feel could be developed into a series that rivals GoT.

Game of Thrones writer George R.R. Martin has a new TV series | Polygon

GRRM is never gonna finish the books...yet another side project for him

A couple things. First, obviously he is using his hit of GoT to push his shitty work on us, because this sounds stupid as fuck...

The majority of Wild Card novels are set in an alternate version of America post-World War II and follow a group of humans that have contracted the "Wild Card" virus. The virus, which is described as an alien virus that rewrites human DNA, has a couple of different effects. Those that are left with crippling negative effects are referred to as "Jokers" while those that are mutated into superhero forms are referred to as "Aces." The first Wild Cards book was released in 1987 and there have been 22 novels published since then. The next novel is set to be released later this month.

Secondly... Yes, George... We all know that you're "writing" the TWoW. Try finishing it you bastard...

"I won't be working on the series myself... my own development deal is exclusive to HBO," Martin wrote. "And I am writing The Winds of Winter, as I believe most of you will recall."

I'm thinking the "35-40 year old great warrior" is clearly a young Robert Baratheon. The "tall, handsome young lord", who is in "his late 20's" and uses the RP accent (RP accent stands for "Received Pronunciation", which is used by high-ranking members). Since Bran is all wargy and shit, I think this is no other than a young lord Rhaegar Targaryen himself.

We're gonna get to see Robert's Rebellion, y'all.... Get hype.
