.....Farley time?

Options are Farley/Shumate (neither has practiced full time at SS recently) or move Barratti over or....

Either way with a bunch of young talent Collinsworth was supposed to quarterback this defense. Expect breakdowns.

Maybe he was late for class and the professor stabbed him in the knee to teach him a ND lesson.

Would be nice to have Hardy.

I'd say if he can't even walk into the stadium that his status for today isn't too unclear LOL.

Is there anything else negative that can happen before kickoff? Geez, 3:30 can't get here fast enough. Please do not be a USF (which I was at).

This is Shumate's opportunity to demonstrate that he belongs with the 1s. He may not know the defense as well as Collinsworth, but this actually gets the team's best athletes in the D backfield.

Yeah, it's a huge bummer that they've been moving him around so much instead of letting him settle at SS.

It's okay.

Golson learned how to throw WITH the laces.

Get well soon, Austin.

Agreed. This guy has a ton of talent and he's never really had a chance to get his feet under him. I think he will do fine though. Him and Redfield at safety gives ND some crazy athleticism in the middle.

Jesus. What is our Safety depth right now? Take away Collinsworth and Hardy, and this is what we have according to Rivals:

SS: Farley, Tranquill
FS: Max, Shumate, Baratti

KVR being out kills any chance we had of moving Riggs to Safety for a couple games. We need Collinsworth back ASAP

I'm almost positive Shumate is the next man in. I remember Kelly saying he would play whenever Collinsworth got beat up.

He did say that.

He also said Farley would play in order to make the calls.

Not sure which one is accurate

Yeah. All I know is that Farley is not suited for SS. I think he's a decent FS... but I don't see him being able to play up in the box and be a sound tackler when called upon.

All the Farley haters need to take a seat. Kid has played a great game so far. Go Irish!

I was underwhelmed when he came to ND. He's come a long way and is noticeably missed on the field.
