I don't know if they ever offer unless they want to see him at center? He's short for HH, he's huge weight wise and if they are tearing Q down and rebuilding him... they'd need a demolition permit for Big E.

He's obviously been Indiana's #1 recruit in '18 since day one and was a top 5 by offer nationally from the beginning too. He had more offers than anyone in '17 early on except HJ and he didn't trail by much. He actually had more offers than anyone form '16 except, Brandon Peters, Austin Mack and Auston Robertson.

ND's had to offer around him while evaluating him recruiting him. They've done that while he has received 24 FBS offers which is currently 3rd most among any offensive lineman in the class. From the time he was on ND's radar, ND was introduced to Pete Werner who they offered and received a commitment from. They were introduced to his classmate Markese Stepp who they have offered and expect a commitment from. They are now actively recruiting another classmate, Hugh Davis who they invited to II with the intention of offering if he impresses while they have stayed on the sidelines with him, did not invite to II and now are getting him into their lineman's camp afterwards for more evaluation. It's a strange as in unique scenario.

I'm not disagreeing with the staff at this time. Maybe A&M, Ole Miss, UGa, FSU, PSU, Aub, Tenn, OU, MSU and Michigan are wrong. He was mentioned as 6-4 early on, then it was 6-3 and now he's 6-2. There are plenty of bada$$ 6-2 centers but HH likes 'em long as a rule. So maybe he's that talented to get an offer in spite of his length. We'll see. I'm hoping he does because Cathedral is going to keep moving up the ranks of the Indy schools. Next year they will be the best team in the state and they might have finally forced the Catholic school football model used in Chicago, Cincy and Cleveland onto Indy where the best are brought into the program yearly. That makes it that much easier for ND to skim the cream off the top every cycle.

Some like to still drag on Diaco for his supposed height requirements on defense. Offer the studs.

He is a good ball player, but he simply isn't a fit for the Notre Dame scheme. I wouldn't be surprised if Notre Dame offered at some point, but Notre Dame wants power and athleticism.

Ekiyor would fit in a Michigan/Alabama scheme where he can just maul people like DJ Fluker. He just doesn't fit what Notre Dame does unless he loses a lot of weight. Those numbers from the opening regional match his film. If he had the athleticism of Nelson or Kraemer, then I think it'd be a little bit different.

247 has him receiving an Irish offer today. Didn't see it on his Twitter feed.

They don't list it in his actual offer list, only on his timeline. Don't think it happened. Or at least it isn't official yet.

Was at Cal yesterday, Stanford today and will be back at Tennessee on the 18th when II is going on. Then to ND for lineman's camp.

247 hasn't taken down the offer from his timeline. Surprised no one has asked Loy or Wiltfong about it?

With him announcing he's transitioning to center, I think he was offered. Coming in 3 years behind a redshirted Hoge is good spacing.

Was told that we should not expect an offer here unless he corrects a lot of things i.e. weight and technique.

Sickening in so many ways.

Way behind on '18 interior lineman recruiting at the moment. Probably need a center next cycle too.

Hate to see the best Indiana recruit go to Michigan, especially a 95 Comp who's currently playing with 2 ND commits.

ND took many, many looks at him and just never thought he was that good. He was also way overweight for a good amount of time and ND told him to cut it. ND will be perfectly fine

Not saying he isn't an awesome prospect because I know absolutely nothing about OL play, but it's truly bizarre how obsessed you are with what the "industry" thinks of recruits. ND saw this kid up close a number of times and wasn't impressed

I'm more concerned that he's a teammate of Stepp and going to Michigan than losing out on him as a player. Just seems like he's not a fit for Hiestand.

Exactly, but they also saw John Tuner up close and personal lol.

But honestly I'll trade HH and the way he thinks he would fit in this offense compared to how many stars he has by his name. Honestly this is an Oline men and a guard for that matter. We don't need another guard, if this was a DL it would be a little different.

worried about Stepp as well, we really need RB's and Wiltfong saying this summer Stepp might look around and the way Michigan is playing he would be PERFECT fit for Harbaugh

I don't like this at all. Stepp is a really really good player. The staff needs to do whatever it takes to hold onto him.

Noticed on his twitter that his profile picture is him in a ND visor. If a ND commit was wearing a Michigan visor, I don't think we'd be too thrilled. Hope he can sort out his technique and weight distribution so he can play his ball here.

I'm not trying to say you're wrong, or that I'm right. But, he does go to Cathedral High School where their name is the Irish and wear blue and gold. Could be that it's a hat that matches most of their attire. If the guy were to wear a Michigan hat, the color scheme would be all off. Or (again maybe) the guy is wearing a cathedral hat with the fighting Irish guy on the back. Either way, I don't think we can put much stock into the hat.

No, but his teammate is Markese Stepp and Emil wanted the ND offer. He's not a great fit for what Hiestand normally targets though, so he might not be a part of the class.

Harbaugh with another pump and dump?

Freebie from Josh Helmholdt @Rivals

Ekiyor has made news recently by taking visits to other schools, including Florida State and Georgia. His next campus visit is planned for this upcoming weekend when he is expected to travel down to Alabama. The buzz is that Ekiyor’s contact with Michigan has waned in the months since he committed to the Wolverines.
