For all those still upset that we didn't rush Jaylon more...

Wasn't just all about speed, was it?

I like how he really made SC as an offense look really bad!

No doubt in my mind that Jaylon should've been used more in this capacity. If the goal is to create negative plays, then he's your guy. I do agree with the mindset that it was a wasted opportunity.

Jaylon and the opportunities to use him properly were greatly limited by the defense that surrounded him. Such a shame.

Poor UMass guys, getting beat like red headed stepchildren. They had to get their licks in on poor Joe at 4:37, double teaming him because they couldn't handle anyone else

Are speaking to the players or scheme that surrounded him?

The players surrounding him failed within the scheme, which limited the opportunities to really let Jaylon freestyle and wreck worlds.

So to answer your question, both I guess haha.

What number was he slotted for McShay in his updated eval?

Prior to injury I thought he was about as can't miss of prospect as you'll ever get. Not just physical abilities but work ethic, character, etc.

I still think he is going to be a stud. Somebody is going to get an absolute steal in this draft. They will have to rehab him for a season, but with patience, they can get an amazing football player.

Honestly, it won't even require patience. He's going to be a boss.

Maybe team a late in the 1st round will draft him. Seahawks could be a good match.

Guaranteed top 5 pick if not for injury. Just an absolute shame. Sad thing is that no team drafting in the top 10 can really afford to take a "stash" player.

If the Steelers didn't really need secondary help ASAP, I'd want him to come in, spend a year or two learning from Timmons, then run train on the league for a decade.

I have to admit that if he fell to the Vikings, I wouldn't be upset. In 2 years they would have

SAM- Anthony Barr
Mike- Erik Kendricks
Will- Jaylon Smith

That is just dirty.

He grew up a Patriots fan....NE has 11 draft picks and can easily trade up if he falls to the bottom of the 1st. I'm sure everyone here would be just thrilled to see him end up in New England...

They took Dominique Easley at the end of the 1st round in 2014 and essentially "redshirted" him his rookie year while he was rehabbing so there is some precedent for this in that organization.

I think he would probably play outside at Pittsburgh.

Moats ---- Shazier ---- Timmons ---- Smith

Potentially one of the best LB groups ever to take the field in the NFL.

TB12 will take good care of Martellus next season for you :)

Also, I don't blame you. I hate when ND guys end up on teams I despise like the Ravens or Jets.

If he begins running all of his routes/not overrunning his spot. He probably will because he'll be on a true contender, but still, don't expect him to be a top 3 tight end just because he's on the Pats.

Bennett was a great pick up for your guys. He's a damn fine receiving TE, just not the blocking type the Bears like to have.
