lol Saying to move the conversation, but admitting that you won't do anything to move it.

Portland OR. More different kinds of the best beers in the world.

Anybody know when Robertson is planning to choose a school?

IrishLax-FacePlant is good, have you had Flying Dog, Rangin Bit#h? It out of MD and I think it is actually better. Enjoy Hopslam right now (not local but available local here-from Bells/Michigan)

Oh, I'm very familiar with Flying Dog. Did you know Flying Dog actually has some ND alums working for them? Ben Savage -- former lacrosse player -- is a VP there. I'm a very big fan of a lot of their stuff.

Three other DMV breweries I've really started sampling recently are Port City in Alexandria, Heavy Seas (Baltimore based put in a brewpub right next to my building sooo....), and Adroit Theory in Purceville.

Come on up to Frederick and do the Flying Dog tour with me. We also have Monocacy Brewing in town. Try some of their stuff if you see it. The Riot Rye is ridiculous

If anything new was out, we would have seen it posted. Thread definitely got derailed but that won't stop the posting of new information. I'm refreshing this shit just as much as the next guy I am sure!

Per rusty still on for UGA visit this weekend. Doubts Stanford visit happens and decision to come in the next ten days. He thinks ND leads

It's to the point for me, where you start wondering what's up with this kid.

I see what you mean but you need to remember he was waiting for hear back from Stanford. Now if this was a Bama vs Georgia battle then heck ya probably waiting for a pay day. But he's down to Stanford and ND with Georgia kind of hanging around. He was always going to take a Georgia visit at some point. Everyone has always said what an awesome kid he is

I get that he's been waiting. But to plan and cancel 3+ times with Bama, and to just not bother visiting Georgia while you wait 2 months for your Stanford results, making reporters look kind of foolish because you change your plans literally by the hour through the weekend, all all while telling ND everything they want to hear. At a certain point you have to respect other people's time, even people who you won't be signing with. Just a yellow flag for me at this point but obviously I don't have all of the details.

The thing about the bold, though, is that this kid is operating on his own time, which he has every right to do. NSD is the FIRST day that kids can sign. They all just do it on NSD because all of the dominoes that have already fallen can become official.

Sometimes I wish more kids would do what Demetris is doing. Wait and make the decision when you feel you're ready to do so. Flex what muscle you have while you can and let the schools worry about scholarship numbers and potential visits. That's their job.

Aaron Lynch 2.0... and I use these italics loosely. I have a feeling we land him only for him to bolt next January.

Koon just so you know I think he tells a lot of reporters what they want to hear to keep them off his back. Also the visits to SEC schools are to keep local pressure off him. No doubt he could handle a few things differently but he doesn't owe anyone anything

Georgia Tech posters on another site claim that he's seriously considering the Yellow Jackets. Take it for what it's worth.

I really wouldn't be surprised if that scenario works out. Thank God he's not slotted to play safety because he would never stick around for the required 3 years to learn BVG's system.

We don't know that it only takes 3 years. So far, we just know that it takes more than 2.

It's possible, especially if he's truly looking at engineering. I wonder if they'll tell him that effectively 0% of football players stick in engineering, and the graduation rates at their school are terrible?

Frankly, Drue Tranquill making Dean's List in engineering should be more of a sell that ND will enable you to effectively study what you better than 99% of schools.

Personally, I bet he's Irish by next week. I think the only thing that'll stop that is him deciding he wants to stretch things out and take the March SAT. If he does that, I expect this to possibly drag on for months, so hopefully that doesn't happen.

I think we tend to focus too much on whether someone in Robertson's situation is a 'good' kid. The vast majority of recruits are good kids, especially the ones that take a serious look at Notre Dame and its challenges.

You can still be a good kid and bungle the process, have poor guidance from your family, and generally be confused and unsure of what you want to do and how to go about making the right decision.

Focusing so much on DR being a good kid, of trying to get it right, and doing things on his own timeline kind of misses the point. We, collectively as fans, say those things because it's positive spin while we're still in the running to sign him. And it's also a way to stop people from jumping all over DR for being a flake or a head-case, which in this case specifically, is okay because all indications are that DR hasn't earned that label.

My point would be there are several red flags in this recruitment that should give someone pause. That there's been radio silence for 4 days since learning about his test scores shouldn't surprise anyone. Nearly every indicator for the past 2+ months is pointing towards this not being a well organized decision process with people within DR's circle not completely on the same page. How much of that is naivety vs. nefarious motive I do not know.

What I do know is that going past NSD + poor structure/planning/organization almost never works out for Notre Dame. I think it's okay to point that out. Maybe DR bucks that trend, we'll see.
