What I feel like after NDphilly's blunt and scathing assessment:

FWIW, as I've mentioned this in the past, when Wiltfong wants to get his point across about something without going out too far on a limb, he'll reiterate his point of view multiple times. He continues to reiterate that ND is very much in it for Caleb Kelly.

I know this isn't new but the more he reiterates, its usually due to more confidence in his point of view, thats why I'm posting it.

I think Oklahoma was the clear leader going into his Notre Dame Visit but I think the banquet weekend really opened his eyes and his mother's eyes. I think he realizes how much Notre Dame could do for him outside of football down the road. It doesn't hurt either that we have two of the last four Butkus winners.

Yea, this is just me making up numbers but I was thinking of it as a 90/10 going into the visit. Now I think it could be as close as a 55/45 kind of deal.

I was one calling for that BVG needs to go, but then I got to thinking. Look at how many injuries our defense has had to go through the last two years. BVG had 3rd stringers and walk ons having to play last year. It god so bad that the coaches pulled Hayes Redshirt. Same thing with this year. What did you expect going in against Ohio State. We were limited at DB position already then we lose Max and Butler. BVG planned on having a healthy Day, Butler, Smith, Cage, and Tillery playing then a bomb hits and they all get hurt.

Did Kelly really say he has reservations about BVG on the record?? That seems like an odd thing to say about someone who could be your future coach...not a great way to get the relationship off to a good start

Last year we wasted a redshirt on him. Would have made more sense to reshirt him last year and give him snaps this year. Anyways if he is concerned about BVG then how can he not be concerned about Oklahoma coach?

Comparing us and Oklahoma. We gave up 24 points per game Oklahoma gave up 22. Not to mention we played arguably a lot tougher schedule because Oklahoma went up against TCU back ups, Baylor back up QB and Oklahoma State Back up QB. We also had to play to offenses that were dynamic in Stanford and USC.
