If you can't tell I'm all in on this one so you may not want to follow me down this rabbit hole as the despair could be great if he doesn't pick ND. However, Wiltfong reiterated that Jeffrey will need give his family a very good reason to not pick ND in the end. Mom is really on board here.

Another to back up my statement.

Once again I don't see any way he doesn't sign with ND. His mom is quoted as saying, "If he doesn't pick ND, he better have a good enough reason to not pick them." It's basically ND, Texas, and Texas A&M. A&M is a mess right now and Texas isn't to far behind.

NDSean44, is that you?

You can't be serious with this. You can't see ANY way? For real? This is why people just rip on you all the time. He COULD sign with ND, but they aren't even the favorite right now. To say there is no way he signs with anyone else but ND is simply foolish. It's cool to be positive, but never go full ******, ever.

Steve has said this numerous times GB, why are you debating this when it's obvious Steve has said this direct quote

Ya Steve said it and I believe him but his mother has never directly said this. It's not his mothers decision, he might have heard from someone on the staff to this. Unless Ms. Mcullogh directly told Steve this but then I think Steve would have a little more confident in Shark to ND

So Jefferys mom never said this?

She said it, however, that is one line she said a few weeks back. Things can always change. I hope to hell he comes and it's always good when we have mom on our side...but I'm not hanging my hat/hopes on that one quote. We're in it for sure...but i feel it's 50/50 right now.

Exactly, I think maybe his mom is playing both sides. A&M still felt really good a couple weeks ago when the quote came out and so did ND. So maybe both sides are being told the same thing IMO

Koon is very upset that you're "piling on" Mercy.

Hahahaha...but seriously, anyone who tweets at recruits AND is convinced he is helping ND land those recruits deserves everything he gets and more.

Anyone who tweets 16/17 year old football players is a loser.

seems to be implied in the way it is written
It absolutely makes sense. We are his safest, smartest choice at the moment, but he really wants to see what happens with the Texas schools come the end of January.

He also wanted to keep his UA commitment schedule, but once we told him we only want his commitment if he is 100%, he was forced to reschedule.

Take this as if he was forced to choose today, it'd be ND, but he is really looking for a reason to stay in Texas and one of those schools could definitely persuade him by signing day.

Hammwise Gamgee is still sticking by his guns saying Mcullogh to A&M. He's gonna block me any moment on twitter so I am not sure I can keep the updates rolling on him. Brandon Jones who has become a huge Texas lean, yep he thinks he's going to A&M as well.

Told Andrew Ivins at the UA game check in that things have gotten weird with A&M and he is concerned about the QB position at both Texas schools, not so with Notre Dame. Is planning to OV to Texas and Bama in January with A&M most likely getting a unofficial. Has considered taking another visit to ND but doesn't think he'll have time. Talked to BK this morning and he said it won't hurt ND's chances that BK used his in home so early as they thought he was deciding.

This guy choosing A&M or Texas over ND would definitely go down as one of the biggest boneheads in history.

Parents all in for you leaving the state - check
Academics landing you nationwide job potential - check
Program on the up versus on the downward spiral - check
Nationwide football power - check

Someone please explain to me the remote checks for going to TX or A&M over ND again?

Seems like he is looking/hoping for a reason not to go to ND. Maybe he just wants to be 110% sure but i he wants to come to ND not sure why he's extending his timeline and waiting to pull the trigger. Im definitely for kids taking all the time they need but if he isn't sold on ND now not sure what will change his perception.

I am not sure that he is looking for a reason not to go to ND, as much as he is doing his research. Maybe he does want to come to ND, but wants to see what the Texas schools do. There doesn't seem to be any pressure on him from ND to decide right now, so he might as well let the process play out. The fans seem to be the only ones clamoring for him to make the call. Then, if he decides on Texas and staying home, he looks like a jerk. Plus, is everyone here sure that the NFL, aka the Giants, are not going to come calling for BK? I think it would be a mistake for BK to go, but maybe McCullough just wants to see what is going to happen the next month to all teams.

Extremely well spoken and well Thought out. Can't blame him
For making sure and taking all of his visits. I actually prefer he does. Seems like a kid you root for the. He will make an educated decision at least from
The sound of it.

Brewdog nailed it. With other recruits in the past I'd be with you 100%, but not this one. Due diligence is much different than a kid that has favored ND for a long time and who keeps pushing his commitment date back. In this case, he's making sure IMO. He is indecisive, which is perfectly understandable and he's waiting until he is 100% sure. (I think he goes to TX personally, but that's purely a guess.

Reason #1. It's close to home, and in the end, that comfort ends up being the most crucial thing, despite what is said publicly.

Brutal how quick he was to say Stanford fits him the best academically. It's not that I disagree... but man, that's just a dagger. Are they ever going to go back to being a crappy also-ran?
