As much as I still think he best fits as a 3-4 OLB, I can also see putting him at Will in 4-3 over formations, basically erasing the chance of weak side action and forcing any running plays into the nose guard and big TE. If it's a pass you send him off the edge. Or maybe I'm just crazy and you stick him at SAM. Or MLB, I don't doubt this kid at all.

I had a long talk with a VERY CLOSE source to McColloch yesterday. This is a four-team race between ND, Stanford, A&M and Texas. However, I got the vibe he's going to end up at A&M or Texas. McCulloch's parents are comfortable with him leaving the state and feel he's mature enough to handle it but without jeopardizing my source, I feel this one will end up between the Ags and Horns. I'll say this, I don't see McCulloch ending up at A&M if he doesn't officially visit next month. I believe he will though based off the feedback I got yesterday

The outcome of bowl games which are essentially exhibition games is kinda a strange thing to hang a decision on..

Bowl games, especially big ones are measuring sticks heading into the off season. ND got a bump this year pre-season because, partially of what we did to LSU in our bowl game.

With ND beating OSU, which we need to do to validate our season. It would show that not only is ND close to the top of CFB but is an elite program. We desperately need to beat OSU.

I heard today that A&M would have to pay Sumlin like $20M within 60 days if they let him go. They ain't letting him go...IMO
