I just recovered enough to watch this tonight. Now I'm upset again. No way we should have lost this game.

I meant as the guy. He doesnt have many starts under his belt. Some guys benefit more from knowing the coaches believe in them, and when you're around for 3 years and arent the #1, you may be unsure of yourself.

In that case, I think you're wrong that he will get the chance. Barring '15 style injuries, he isn't going to be a starter next year either, imo.

His problem isn't confidence either. He's beaming with it. What he is lacking is actual skill.

Exact same shit as the Clemson game. ND was clearly the superior team that gave that one away. People have been mocking Kelly's "two plays away" statement but this team could well have gone 12-0 with a few breaks.

I didn't realize that it was Schmidt who rolled up on Jarron. They show it at the beginning...freak accident. Also, how 'bout the two Stanford fans who called the final score before the game. That ending to the Stanford game will stick with me for a LONG time.

Yeah it was ole JS who did that. They showed it ep 1. They probably got predictions from 50 guys. Grats on the 1 guy who got it right making it on air

Foreshadowing of Joe getting smashed around like Rudy. He gets everyone lined up correctly, though. One more rodeo, thankfully.

Boooooooo. Come on do a solid for the fans.

He might be doing a solid for the fans, if he thinks that the losses to Clemson and Stanford were, in part, a result of distractions of the show leading to the guys being less than well prepared for those games?

He is also banning injuries as I believe they were more the direct result of those losses.

It's probably something as simple as they already have the benefit from it, they can show that season to recruits for at least the near furure...so why put up with a film crew a second time?

If you've missed out any episodes of A Season with Notre Dame Football, on Showtime, then have no fear, there is an awesome highlight reel to get you caught up on the sights and sounds behind the scenes of the 2015 Fighting Irish football season.

Attrition was a storyline throughout the year, from the departure of Everett Golson to Malik Zaire's season-ending injury against Virginia in the second game of the season. DeShone Kizer's rise and Notre Dame's charge at a potential playoff bid, one that fell short in a heartbreaking loss to Stanford.

Check out the full highlight reel, featuring music from Kid Ink.

The final episode will air Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 10 p.m. after the Fighting Irish's final game of the year against Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl.

You can watch all 13 episodes from this season on Showtime on Demand.

Man I think everyone knows i'm not a huge fan of Schmidt, but damn I had some man tears when they were showing him after the game. When they showed him hugging his parents really struck a chord. No matter what level everyone knows that feeling when you lace them up for the last time.

Also heartbreaking seeing how good of a dude Jaylon is. Life's not fair, that injury couldn't have happened to a better guy.

Anyone know if they will continue this series next season with ND? I sure hope so, this season has been amazing.

No, BK already confirmed them not coming back to ND next season unfortunately. I hope they don't go anywhere else, or go to a school that we don't usually battle in recruiting, but that seems unlikely

They probably area. Showtime said they wanted to do it again, Kelly said "no" on them being back at ND. It was apparently a huge PIA... but also awesome and worth it for a year.

I wouldn't be surprised if they come back to ND, but it'll be in the future. Showtime said next year they'll attempt to do it with another school. I'm personally guessing it'll be a school like Oregon, Michigan, Clemson, etc... but maybe it'd be a school like Stanford, which I would dread.

I think it would be really cool if they rotated a couple schools and came back to ND when someone like Jerry Tillery was a senior.

problem is alot of schools probably don't want the microscope shining too brightly on their programs. I think they will stick with schools that are somewhat academically focused rather than the football factories

See I sorta disagree, because the school has "final cut"... so I think it actually gives schools that are football factories a chance to fraudulently present a good image to the public.

Would Florida State do it? Probably not. And Saban would never allow it. But I could totally see a Texas A&M or Oregon doing it. I could also totally see a school like Texas or Michigan doing it. It's really good exposure.
