I'm kind of in this boat. People often work harder under a microscope.

You'd think playing for Notre Dame already puts you under that microscope. Playing for Notre Dame, and a few other universities, puts you in the limelight when doing good but even more when doing bad.

I don't necessarily think it had a negative effect but I could see players getting too much spotlight from the show and losing focus. Maybe thinking all they had to do on Saturday was show up and win. I loved the show personally. Just curious to others opinions...

I think the show helped everyone stay focused last year. I really do. Having national television cameras around all the time... it keeps you on your toes and accountable. I know the staff thought it was a huge burden, but like think about how few "distractions" there were last year relative to years before and this year.

When I say losing focus. I mean this year, not last. I agree with everyone on the microscope from last year.
