I'm terrible at predicting scores, but I feel like it will be in the low to mid thirties.
There are a lot of question marks too, but I am going to pick the good guys here. Send Ronnie, Sheldon, Nick, Mathias, and Jaylon home with W! I also feel like Mathias is going to make a huge play in the game. We'll probably need him to too.

Jones back in the middle gives ND the extra body to consistently hold Elliott at bay. Day and Smith play out of their minds in their last game in gold helmets. OSU is thin up the middle on DL which will let ND establish some success running the ball, ultimately setting up Will Fuller to beat them long. Kizer throws for 300 and three scores and Prosise pops a long one for a score in the 4th to seal the deal. ND by a touchdown -- 31-24.

Urban thumps his package on Kelly's head. I don't think there's any way in heck Kelly outshines Meyer, ever. Don't forget the key to OSU is Kerry Coombs. There's not a better motivator in the game of college football. Combine him with Meyer in a major bowl situation, lights out. I'm guessing 42-27, Zeke runs for 275.

OSU 45, ND 35.

I just don't think we can stop Elliot AND the rest of Ohio State's athletes.

Miller is going to get matched up with Farley and make a big play at some point, and Jalin Marshall is going to burn Devin Butler at some point.

I actually think we'll do okay against Elliot. But he'll break at least one long run, and will open up the rest of OSU's offense. Barrett will play a good, efficient game and will do some damage with his legs.

ND will play very well offensively, but they're going to need to be flawless to beat OSU. I think the game is close throughout, but a turnover of some sort will give them a two-score lead that we can't overcome.

GOOD GOD I HOPE I AM WRONG ABOUT OUR DEFENSE.

42-38 OSU

Each team has 2 turnovers. We do a good job against Elliott but the secondary gets beat up and the QB has plenty of running room. Our offense does ok with still struggle in the red zone. And one of our turnovers is in the red zone. A very good tight game but we come up just short.

As much as I think the long break gives BVG a chance to implement one gameplan that will cut down on blown coverages and help the defense immensely...I think Meyer/Warriner having a month to prep is even worse.

I think Notre Dame can do a fine job stopping the run, two all-Americans in the front seven tends to help. I just think Miller is going to break plays open on the secondary when BVG loads the box.

Offensively if Schutt is out that helps, but their defense is still one of the best in the country. Notre Dame likely will not be able to keep up in a shootout, but then again Kelly gameplans in these big matchups are spectacular more times than not. Maybe we see a TE step up and open up seams. But ultimately I doubt Prosise is 100% and I don't think Prosise/Adams will get chunk plays like they have thus season.

35-24 Buckeyes sounds right.

1. Kelly knew before the 2012 NCG he didn't have the horses to play with Bama.
2. He also said they didn't have a good enough game plan that included adjustments.
3. Kelly has shown he learns from the past.
4. This will be a competitive game. I like our chances. We might lose, but OSU will not roll us.

P.S. BK shocks everyone and goes under center inside the ten. ND score three rushing TD's.

I hope I am wrong. This is a game that will define Kelly, up the challenge or 2nd rate coach.

NDs defense is too God awful bad to contain OSU. Everyone on this board has commented after every game how this is not a national caliber team due to the weak ass defense. What makes you think it all of a sudden got competitive?

42-28 OSU with two ND tds in the fourth to make it remotely respectable.

Im just praying it isnt worse.

I don't think any one game defines a coach, especially not one game against a stacked team coached by a guy considered by many to be at worst the #2 coach of this current century.

Am i living in an alternate universe where our defense is worse than Northern Illinois? OSU put up 20 on Northern Illinois. How about Illinois or Minnesota? They only put up 28 on both of those teams.

Our defense isn't great, but neither is their offense. I think many of you guys just have ND big game PTSD. OSU could easily win this game, but I don't share the opinion that this is going to be a blowout.

I think that all goes out the window when both staffs having a month to gameplan. Besides I don't put too much emphasis on the "look at their worst games" maneuver when sizing up an opponent. ND has looked mediocre a few times this year too.

I really think one of the biggest factors is Meyer/Warriner having a month to unTimBeckify that offense.

If ND gets rolled by another 42-14 score then yes it does.

ND 41
OSU 24

Jaylon shuts down Zeke, Schmidt gives up three TD's (one in coverage and two chasing after their QB). We pass early to set up big chunk running yards. Urbie's chin actually gets smaller, Washington is spotted in the stands with some "Ladies", Zeke says he's going to the bathroom and doesn't come back, and Buckeye fans will be getting in fights with 60 year old Irish alum in Old Town.

FEI predicts an Irish victory, but a .505 Win Likelihood and a 1-point MoV is basically a "Pick Em":

.505 Notre Dame 26-25 Ohio State

+6.5?

ND loses 2 last play games to equal or better teams on the road and now they are an almost TD dog to a team experiencing some drama at the end of a disappointing year?

The Irish may lose a close one, they may win a close one but this is a rare time when Vegas has it wrong and the real bet is ND and the points. I can't wait to watch where the money flows. Hate for these two programs will be the factor. Hopefully it gets to +7.5

I'm gonna go 31-30.

Not sure about the final score, but this would be the single biggest win in ND history since the 1993 FSU game IMO, and it really wouldn't even be close.

*I challenge someone to find a bigger one over the last 20 years, and explain why if you do.

fair question.

I really can't think of one

I'd say second closest off top of my head thinking very quickly is the USC win that sacrificed us to Bama in 2012, just due to the fact of what was at stake.

I really did love the win in 1996 too where we kicked their ace when Keyshawn won the Heisman....think it was 96?

ND 31-28.

ND mostly stops EE but Barrett gets some good scrambles on pass plays. Ultimately we win on a last second FG by Yoon.

I don't see the blowout here, on either side, I'm not sure what other posters are pointing to that suggests a blowout loss to the buckeyes. we'll play our asses off, and either win close or lose close, I pick the Irish 34-30
