Jones back in the middle gives ND the extra body to consistently hold Elliott at bay. Day and Smith play out of their minds in their last game in gold helmets. OSU is thin up the middle on DL which will let ND establish some success running the ball, ultimately setting up Will Fuller to beat them long. Kizer throws for 300 and three scores and Prosise pops a long one for a score in the 4th to seal the deal. ND by 10 -- 31-24.
I hope I am wrong. This is a game that will define Kelly, up the challenge or 2nd rate coach.
NDs defense is too God awful bad to contain OSU. Everyone on this board has commented after every game how this is not a national caliber team due to the weak ass defense. What makes you think it all of a sudden got competitive?
42-28 OSU with two ND tds in the fourth to make it remotely respectable.
Im just praying it isnt worse.
I think that all goes out the window when both staffs having a month to gameplan. Besides I don't put too much emphasis on the "look at their worst games" maneuver when sizing up an opponent. ND has looked mediocre a few times this year too.Am i living in an alternate universe where our defense is worse than Northern Illinois? OSU put up 20 on Northern Illinois. How about Illinois or Minnesota? They only put up 28 on both of those teams.
Our defense isn't great, but neither is their offense. I think many of you guys just have ND big game PTSD. OSU could easily win this game, but I don't share the opinion that this is going to be a blowout.
I don't think any one game defines a coach, especially not one game against a stacked team coached by a guy considered by many to be at worst the #2 coach of this current century.
.505 Notre Dame 26-25 Ohio State
Not sure about the final score, but this would be the single biggest win in ND history since the 1993 FSU game IMO, and it really wouldn't even be close.
*I challenge someone to find a bigger one over the last 20 years, and explain why if you do.
