No. A partnership wouldn't work. Either of us would have to be the "handsome, easily distracted comedic sidekick," paired with the "nerdy, analytical straight arrow" type.

I'm not sure I understand the question with the "and/or" but my answer as I understand it would be absolutely yes.

Beat an MSU team that was eventual Big Ten/Rose Bowl champ finished top 5 and was 13-1. We were the 1.

Beat eventual Big 12 co-champ Oklahoma on the road. They were top 10 when we played.

Beat PAC12/Rose bowl champ Stanford at home, they would finish 7th.

We've beaten other team that were highly ranked at the time and then dropped off. For instance, we beat then #10 MSU on the road at the start of 2012 in prime time, and then we had some other top 15ish wins that weren't worth much at the end of the season.

When was the last time ND won a Jan. bowl game?

Whether or not BK won a Top Ten game in the regular season literally means nothing until we beat someone GOOD in a bowl game. BK has not done that yet in a bowl game, whether at ND or not.

This is big for everyone involved.

Love Todd McShay. Can't remember if I like Sean McDonough or not, but for some reason I remember ND nation disliking him. Am I right on that or totally off base?

Not a huge Todd McShay fan, but what I do like about him doing games is he gets to watch tape on prospects and give evaluations.

Yup, I expect him to felate Jaylon and Ronnie most of the game. The segment on rimming Bosa should be especially enlightening.

I think Sean McDonough is the best in the business. Football and basketball.

McDonough used to be paired with Matt Millen (of Detroit Lions GM fame) for years and they were a terrible pair largely because Millen is an insufferable tool. Spielman is a much better analyst but he also talks like he is dead inside (who could blame him, with the personal tragedy he has suffered )

Notre Dame Club of Phoenix - Community Home

The team is staying at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort. There will be a New Year's eve party in their bar, JD's Lounge or maybe at the restaurant, Remington's.

Depending on your age, there will probably be a get together at Rockbar in Old Town too. The younger set does their game watches there.

Lastly, in case you didn't hear: The UoP Stadium's lot opens at 7am for tailgating. We'll be in Cabella's parking lot at 6:00am for Bloody Mary's.
