You're thinking about it wrong. According to the playoff committee their poll gets completely remade every week. There should be no poll inertia at all. I don't know if they will actually follow through with that, but this win completely changes the perception of their season. I don't know that it will happen, but I wouldn't be totally shocked or outraged. (I do think they'll lose eventually though.)

There's truth to what you say, but I just don't see the committee rewarding a team from a conference that they seem to be prepping to take a big ol dump on for the rest of the season.

The odds are slim that Ok. St. jumps all the way into the top 4. They had a good victory today, but it is literally the only good win they have this season. Their non-conference is a complete joke and if they run the table it could very well be a deciding factor if they get left out.

They'll get a nice boost. Probably up to like 7th or 8th... highly unlikely they move all the way into the top 4.

My crack at this week's top 10:

1. Clemson
2. Bama
3. OSU
4. ND
5. Baylor
6. LSU
7. Ok. St.
8. Iowa
9. Stanford
10. Florida

With Temple checking in around 20th and Navy making their first appearance in the top 25.

Agree except that I think LSU drops a little further than 6th.

Why should osu be ranked ahead of ND? Their best win to date is PSU, who lost today. I just don't understand it. I have to think Temple and navy as well as a convincing win on the road today over a 6-2 team would be enough to bump them ahead.

I warn people to be wary of LSU.... Miss losing is good, because it means the win will mean less for LSU if they win... but if a 1 loss Alabama was ahead of ND... I wouldn't be surprised to see a 1 loss LSU ahead either.. Maybe not this week because the loss if fresh, but I would expect to see LSU 6 or 7 in polls and if they win out.. Watch out

Their last three games are going to be Arkansas, @ Ole Miss, and Texas A&M. Ole Miss and Texas A&M were ranked coming into this week but both of them lost. I don't think there's enough here for LSU to make a run given the Alabama game wasn't all that close and they won't have a conference championship.

As long as Clemson continues to win, ND is fine. I think ND will end up at 4 this week. The Irish's only hope to then move up would be against Stanford.

I can also see OSU losing.

Ok St's win over TCU isn't going to be that impressive in the end, when TCU ends up with 3 losses.

I'm sorry. Is no one in here absolutely giddy that Memphis got their ass waxed by Navy?!

That win helps on SO many levels.

And I just saw Texas A&M got held to 10 in their loss too. HAH

Things are looking good boys. If we win out, and the Big 12 devours itself, we're in.

If LSU wins out but misses the SEC Championship because Bama beat them (assuming Bama wins out), do they miss the playoff? I think so.

My top 6:
1.) Clemson
2.) Bama
3.) OSU
4.) ND
5.) Baylor
6.) LSU

This would be great. I'd love another crack at Clemson and Saban would have less time to prepare than he did last time.

Perhaps possible. IMO "likely" is an overstatement. A&M is not good and Ole Miss and the Hogs are not Bama and will not bottle up Fornette wife so easily.

I will bet big on Bielema when they play LSU. They are a tough bunch. Next week!

USC and Navy just got themselves ranked.

So this weekend we added 2 more top 25 teams we've beaten. IDK how you move us down.

I'd love to see the Irish get another shot at Clemson in the Playoff. But I'd feel more comfortable going against OSU in the Natty. I'd like a Natty re-match against 'Bama, but I think the Irish fare better against the Buckeyes.
