Probably the main reason Drue Tranquills recruitment took off.
And Deontay Greenberry, etc. Really a great way to get exposure if your junior year film/production isn't doing it.

Could never visit? He already has visited though.
Hopkins of 24/7 went full "Lord of the hits, Fellowship of the Troll" - he 'predicted' Blake Barnett to flip to Oregon in his forecast article just put out. He says it is just a 'gut feeling', and that Blake very well could never visit and stay with ND.
Meh.
So...either he will go to ND or another school...Prediction of the Century
You guys think Loy is so bad, thank God this clown doesn't cover ND.
The best is that he called it a "bombshell"...
I think I'm done with 247. Some of these clowns really believe their own hype, and try to push stories/narratives. It's time to cancel.
And, according to a rather impeccable source, there are even some "reporters" who are out there basically straight up recruiting and/or neg recruiting for schools.

Hopkins does nothing but fluff PAC12 schools and Oregon in particular.

That's one of the shittiest things I've ever heard unless they have a really good reason for it (i.e., personally know a HC is full of shit and/or cheating).
Absolutely not. It's their job to report the news, not to make manufacture it.
Hopkins is such an Oregon homer. Dude is never right but he is tight with clarkson
He's also definitely got a relationship with the Barnetts... as he's always tweeting random non-football shit at Blake and his father. There is no doubt that Hopkins wants to see him at Oregon (or anywhere) or he wouldn't be pushing this narrative so hard. We'll see what happens, this is always the same issue with recruiting kids from the west coast or deep south. You have to deal with people like this... usually friends, coaches, etc. but every year it includes media more and more.
There are many reasons why I dont like 247 and the way they are doing things, but its beyond my belief that Hopkins is writing some of the stuff he does. But then again, I find myself confused on why a lot of 247 reporters write what they do.
Anyway, I have no worries about Blake showing up at Notre Dame next year. He committed for a reason, and ND has done more than enough to make him feel comfortable through the coaching changes and let him know of their intentions. But, if I was Blake, I would be doing the samething as he is doing now. I would keep an open communication line to a few schools, let ND know about it, just so his ass is covered if Kelly left. There is nothing wrong with that, and its smart on his part. He is making the biggest decision of his life and impacts his future from the date he early enrolls. I dont see Kelly going anywhere, and I dont see Barnett going anywhere. And thats what it will boil down to.
Blake should choose a school for a school. Even if BK is here in 2015, nothing guarantees Kelly's going to be here until 2018. Just because he's your coach your freshman year doesn't mean he will be your junior year. CFB athletes and fans have seen this happen many times, and that goes for any school.
I mean, some players are better fits for certain offenses, so head coach should matter to a point, but it's not guaranteed that coach stays so I think athletes need to look at getting a respectable degree/football tradition/exposure first. But if they all thought this way, we'd be getting better players than Alabama.
