I disagree. While I may not be super confident that ND wins, we would be the best offense they've seen all year bar none. Plus, Bama's QB is no McCarron .

That's my thought right now. I think we could throw the ball if we could give Kizer enough time but we wouldn't be running on them and I don't know if our DL could get push on that OL.

I'm not saying we would beat Alabama but don't be deceived by what you see tonight. Saban completely and utterly owns Les Miles. This Alabama team is not nearly as good as that 2012 team. Jake Coker is not nearly as good as McCarron was and I don't know if any modern defense will ever be as good as that 2012 Alabama defense.
Also, this year's ND offense >>>>>>>>>2012 ND offense. I knew we wouldn't be able to score in 2012, I was just hoping our defense could step up. I feel pretty confident that our offense could score on any team in the country.
That being said, I'd really rather not play Alabama and I wouldn't expect us to win but we would easily be the best offense they would play all year. This isn't 2012 anymore and I think we would actually present some unique match up issues that Alabama would have to account for. In 2012 they didn't fear our offense at all, rightfully so. They wouldn't be able to take our offense so lightly this year.
But, lets hope we play someone else anyway.

For the record, I think you're crazy. Bama is a good football team, but I've watched every game they've played this year and they are very inconsistent. You're talking about them after their most complete game of the season so far. They've looked pedestrian in plenty of games so far.

You're thinking about it wrong. According to the playoff committee their poll gets completely remade every week. There should be no poll inertia at all. I don't know if they will actually follow through with that, but this win completely changes the perception of their season. I don't know that it will happen, but I wouldn't be totally shocked or outraged. (I do think they'll lose eventually though.)
