Flutie: "[Kessler] has been flawless..."

Criqui: "...INTERCEPTED by Notre Dame!"

Seriously... I had to go get a second round of antibiotics because of Fluties verbal fellatio.

Not sure, but I know Leinart wasn't very complimentary of the Longhorns after the loss. There were a few players that spoke out afterwards. Miami was the same way when they lost to tOSU, they thought they were the better team despite the loss, just bad attitudes.
I'm sorry but that Miami team was better than OSU. If they played 10 times I'd fully expect Miami to win 9 times, and a handful of those would be savage beat downs. That Miami team was loaded with talent in every facet. OSU had Maurice Clarett.

OSU had more than Clarret. I think Will Smith, Michael Jenkins, Chris Gamble off the top of my head were on that team.

But I 100% agree with you Miami was clearly the better team. Not to mention IMO Miami won that game, BS interference call!

Honestly, the way that game ended, Miami had every right to be sour about that loss. I mean, this board, and practically every ND board, was at warhead level after that FSU loss. Imagine that costing you a National Championship.

Here's OFD's breakdown of our Special Teams v. USC:

Summary

For their performance against USC, the Irish special teams unit received the game ball, with Brian Kelly noting that a blocked punt can change the feeling of the game. Notre Dame's special teams unit had many of those on Saturday night. A blocked punt. A crucial field goal. A clutched downed punt at the 1-yard line. Sound returns and minimal mistakes. As the Irish head into the Bye Week, they can look to their Special Teams unit as a model for the rest of the season.

Rewatching the game tonight.

The 4th down stop at the end of the first quarter where Onwualu broke up the pass. Jaylon had just broke in front of the receiver and the ball was headed straight to him and he would've had a ton of steam to the open side of the field.

Only person he would've had to avoid would've been Kesler and it would've been a pick six and Jaylon knew it too based upon his reaction. Nice play by Onwualu though.

USC is not a horrible team and they got dismantled like they were a scout team...

Based on the SEC's mixed results, that ass beating tells us there is BAMA, and then everyone else, including the rest of the SEC. It is early, and things compound themselves in games like this...but I would have guessed two TDs...WoW.

and FWIW, Michigan looked strong...yea weak opponent, but they executed like a well-oiled machine.

Michigan now has a toughness again thanks to Jim Harbaugh and also Don Brown. I do want them to beat OSU for once.

I don't want to see Michigan win. Can Irsay fire Pagano so Harbaugh can take the Colts job?

If there is a life form low enough to fire Chuck Pagano, it's Irsay.

What I would like to see is John Harbaugh unexpectedly retire from the Ravens and everyone including Jim Harbaugh think he had the job until they announce Chuck Pagano is going back to BMore to take the job, egg on the face #1. Of course, then everyone would think he's a shoe in for his old team the Colts with his boozin' buddy Irsay... Last minute Irsay drops a Brinks truck in Bruce Arians lap and he takes over in Indy. Egg on face #2. Now the Cardinals job is open and he finally takes the job after the Michigan AD gets tired of hearing the rumors of him leaving for the NFL and cans him. Egg on face #3.

All that said, now he's in AZ and loses 10 straight to the 49ers and gets fired. Egg on face #4. David Shaw has just been hired to take over for the defending world champion Rayduhs but Stanford publicly announce they will not interview the mess that is Harbaugh. Egg on face #5.

He then is rehired by San Diego, his first coaching gig where he is defeated at home in his first game by league rival, the Valparaiso Crusaders 69-0.

That is all.

Ditka should have decapitated him and saved the world the agony of his circus sideshow.

Do you really think that Pagano is a good coach? I'm not sure. Grigson is clearly hampering the team with his drafts etc, but Pagano hasn't proven to be top tier coach, and that's what you want with Luck.

I know nothing about Pagano other than he's a nice guy and went through a lot. I'm not from that part of Indiana. My whole point was to inflict as much pain on Harbaugh as possible. Hated him since he disrespected Da Coach... and lived.

I'm surprised he survived Ditka. But he's also insane now, so there's that. Pagano is a good guy, but he strikes me as a John Fox kinda coach. And I'm not from Indy, but I have too many friends that are Colts fans.

You know nothing about Pagani but claim Isray is a big enough low-life to fire him? He's a below average coach. I wouldn't blame any owner firing a below average coach. Being a cancer survivor shouldn't mean keeping his job forever. Goodness what a bad hot taek.

I would say average. But Grigson is a below average GM and maybe worse. Possibly one of the 10 worst.

At least Helton has an excuse for his team giving up 50+ points. They were playing the defending national champs. I am not sure I will be particularly enthused playing them in November.
