Ethan's dad just posted this link. This kid will be a play maker for BC, would have loved to have him.

No one in the Big Ten really wanted him, so maybe us fans are seeing something different then coaches and stuff? I've always liked him maybe his frame?

Me too, he just reminds me a tough SOB that always give us fits when we play other schools, like BC. With that said, I understand not making a move for him but will definitely root for the kid.

I am with you here Lucky hard to root for someone going to BC. I will be following his college career to see how he does. But I feel like he's gonna be a pain in the ass and it won't be the last time we are bumping this thread. I know Matt Freeman was always high on this kid.

Would have been a great replacement at Will someday I think. He will most certainly make some plays for BC when we play them.

def not that---from 2014 ran a 10.9 100m at the Ohio state track meet and a 21.88 200m earlier in the year

Exactly. Just trolling drake29. There is no reason anyone doesn't like this kid other than he doesn't have offers from every BiG team. I've been told he's gonna be a stud by Ohio people.

BTW, he actually ran a 10.77 and a 7.01 60. Everybody is going mental over Nate McBride's track numbers and Tucky's blows them away.

The day will come when Tucky and Noah Burk would've looked really good in Blue and Gold.

Trolling?

Look, he seems like a good kid. I'm not going to dog on this kid at all. He's a very good high school player. He's going to play in college. There are literally thousands of players that will play college football next season that weren't quite good enough to play at schools like Notre Dame, Ohio State, LSU, Bama, etc. If the NCAA would allow colleges to carry 100 players, maybe this kid gets a look. That said, I think every player that ND is after at linebacker right now is head and shoulders above Tucky. I don't think that he compares to Luke Kuechly - not even close.

National Signing Day Recruit Highlight: Linebacker Ethan Tucky - BC Interruption

Still wish we would have taken this kid. He enrolled early. I've got four cousins, two of which went to ND, one is currently at BC, and the last is at St. Mary's. The one at BC has a class with Ethan, kind of cool since their family is good friends with ours.

One of the most powerful buying motivations is... Fear of Loss. I was a buyer too Bro.

Ohio kid, ND fan, FAST athlete, under the radar, BC, etc... Heard this sickening story before.

Notre Dame football notebook: BC's Kuechly could have been Irish - schurz-southbendtribune

Curious to see how Tucky and Burke turn out since we went 0-2 on Kelly and McCullough.

You can make the same argument for kids that Notre Dame signed each year too.

How do you think Penn State fans feel about Will Fuller? How do you think Miami feels about Devin Studstill?

Notre Dame gets more than a fair share of under the radar kids from areas they have no business getting kids.

It's clear the other Midwest powers didn't love Burks and Tucky either. Michigan State didn't offer either kid, which is a telling sign, as both kids are guys Sparty typically tests the water on.

Ohio State didn't offer Tucky and he lives 20 minutes from campus. Neither kid had great offer lists. I hope both kids do well, as they are good kids, but Notre Dame and the other Midwest power schools didnt feel the need to take a risk on either.

Penn State and Miami didn't pass on those two, so the comparison isn't the same.

Every time I think about the fact that we could have seen Keuchly and Teo playing next to each other in the middle, I want to vomit.

The only thing that can top that is the thought of hearing Iverson to Moss 10 times a game.

It's clear the other Midwest powers didn't love Burks and Tucky either. Michigan State didn't offer either kid, which is a telling sign, as both kids are guys Sparty typically tests the water on.

Sparty didn't offer Ogundeji or Jhonny Williams either.

Notre Dame and the other Midwest power schools didnt feel the need to take a risk on either.

And this isn't to criticize the staff about not taking either kid. It's a discussion board. We are here to discuss ND football topics. The Kuechly - Tucky stories are very similar, it's discussion worthy. Oh, and to be fair to perennial 10 win Wisconsin, they offered both per Rivals.

"Didn't feel the need to take a risk"

OK, I get that with Burks. ND got a better prospect at the same general position with Hayes but if you are gonna take risks on a Ogundeji as a project, how can you object to taking a shot on a 6-2, 215 pound LB that is faster than anybody you have. You can't teach his kinda fast. I'm not saying he is faster than CJ Sanders but his best reported 100 time at a sanctioned track meet is faster than CJ's best reported time. The guy has some eye popping measurables. I know it didn't translate enough to get him an ND / OSU offer but neither did Kuechly, Chris Borland, Denicos Allen, Whitney Mercilus or Jerel Worthy. (Granted some of those may have been academic reasons with ND)

Like I said, this thread doesn't flare back up if not for the similar stories of Kuechly and Tucky.

I mean you could make the case for any linebacker that didnt get an offer. Hell, Carson Wentz didn't have a single offer and he is now being talked about as a franchise QB.

Tucky would have a hard time finding PT and a spot on ND's current roster, as would Burks that's what boils down to. Once again, I am all for taking guys that can help your team down the road, because ND is never going to hit 85, but you also can't just take a guy to take a guy.
