- GT over Clemson

Night games:

- Miami over FSU

You should cheer for Tenn over Ga. Ga can still come out of the East with one loss. While I don't think they run the table, let Tenn just take care of that today. You also need Fla to lose to Mizzou. I will let you slide for cheering for Arky over my Tide. But most importantly, you need to simply beat Navy.

yeah but NW doesn't play MSU or OSU... so they can run the table.. and upset MSU or OSU in the conference championship and get in...

Good call on Missouri, I added that game. I just can't root for Tennessee. I guess it'll workout either way as a good/bad, but I'm holding out hope that Butch Jones gets chopped and we get Hunter Johnson.

I think the most likely upsets are:

Miami over FSU,
K State over TCU,
GT over Clemson.

Added WVU over undefeated, #21 OK State. How are they undefeated and only 21?

Okie State hasn't looked all that great and many believe they have been the recipient of some game defining officiating calls in a couple of those wins.

I can't believe it, but it is raining in Clemson again today. I really don't know who gets the advantage there. We really need a GT victory here though.

Unless B. Snyder can pull a rabbit out of his hat, K State has no chance to beat TCU, especially with that subpar Wildcat secondary.

After last year my heart just isn't in stuff like this. We spent hours debating this stuff last year and it didn't matter because we couldn't handle business. I just want us to handle our business.

I am rooting for GT over Clemson because I've lost all respect that I had for Clemson. F**k them and their thin skinned fanbase and progrm and their manufactured disrespect. F**k Dabo too for crying like a little b*tch after the game.

I'm also cheering for Tennessee because I never cheer for Georgia.

Same with Northwestern, I'm cheering for them because I hate Michigan.

Totally understand your point, but not like anu thing else we discuss is important or comes to fruition lol.

Northwestern is already ranked ahead of us, and undefeated. However I just can't pull for Michigan.

This is exactly right. Take care of business. We sometimes are like the kids in class who spend all day tattling on everyone else instead of doing our work and minding our own business.

In the Big 10 the best bet would be NW to beat scUM. Then scUM run the table through the BIG10 Championship. That would create a 2-loss Champ.

In the PAC, we need Stanford to run the table there but lose to ND. 2 loss Champ.

ND running the table with those two conferences with 2 loss champs will get ND in the playoffs. Also Clemson winning out

... "Clemson winning out" but not today. GT beating Clemson changes the feeling of the country about our relatively easy handling of GT and our funky loss in the deluge and away-from-home to a basically out-performed opponent. {said this already in another thread, but that makes us "in"over the ACC champs and with the other scenarios possibly "in" vs the PAC12 and just possibly, though more of a stretch, the champs of the B!G.}

I am still torn on what to root for with Clemson. This is like FSU last year where we either need them to go undefeated or end up with 2 losses.

We need them to have one loss {GT} and then win the ACC.

12-1 ACC Champ Clemson gets in over 11-1 ND with their head-to-head win. Why play the games if they don't get the boost for beating us head-to-head?

So who are we rooting for this week?

I'd urge you guys on the bye week to download the FREE BGI playoff discussion podcast that was put out yesterday. They discuss a number of scenarios and who we should root for overall (not broken down by week).

I didn't add the WSU LSU game because I didnt realize WKU was 6-1. Probably get rolled, but there's reason to dream.

Why wouldn't USC over Utah be bolded? That's as big as any right now.

I'm on the fence about the Clemson game. Part of me says "down with the undefeateds," but we also want Clemson to stay impressive. If there's going to be an undefeated ACC champion, better it be Clemson than anyone else. If Clemson is going to lose, we need Stanford to win the Pac.

The bolded is unrealistic, imo. A non-starter.

This is always a fun topic for me as I am just a huge fan of college football in general. I am anxious to see how JT does since being named the starter for the Buckeyes, and then I look at all of these games and try to figure out who will help us move up and follow those games closely, especially during the bye week. Looking at the slate of games, I am rooting for:

Temple
Miami
GT
USC
Indiana
Toledo
Stanford
Tennessee

I feel all of those games will help us, and I will always root for Toledo because I am from there. Hopefully a few losses from teams ahead of us to move us up a notch or two would be nice.
