Another great episode. Cool to see Kizer talk about Malik's preparation and drive once he was the named the starter and how it totally turned his own outlook around. He was thinking about switching to baseball after the way he played in the Spring game, so glad he decided not to.
Drue delivering an emotional post-game speech like those before him. Lets hope no one will have to deliver one next week, these injuries are getting insane.

By far the best episode yet. It's very authentic. I feel like it really allows the viewer to get to know these guys as college kids and not just football players. Only to dive right back into the grind and show you what it's like for them watching film, practicing, working with each other, etc. This show is phenomenal. I'm sick of the sad endings though. My heart sank at the end. I feel so bad for these kids who continue to get hurt and for the rest of the team who take it so hard. You can tell it's a team in that locker room and not a bunch of individuals. I love ND football. Go IRISH.

That scene with Kizer was the highlight for me. It was really great insight. I was watching with my wife and she commented that he was more eloquent than most college students much less college athletes you hear at other schools. Kizer's eloquence and the scenes focusing on academics really showed what sets ND apart.

I liked when the d-line was sitting around watching film on the tablet, and they were giving Jillery grief for lining up wrong, and also pulled Schmidt into the convo to ask him about his alignment and the motion by the offense.

They were having fun and ribbing each other, but they were still working and trying to take mental reps with each other, as well. I like to see the work/play balance.

Watching Sheldon stare Terry Jillery down after sinking the final put, and Terry not looking up was hilarious, too.

Incredible episode.

Wow - that Deshone interview with Collinsworth was really special.

I thought I heard someone say to Sanford after the first TD, "nice call" as if he was the one that called the play. I'll have to re-watch later to verify that.

Tillery and Day - fun stuff.

Do we really want football players riding around campus on skateboards? That was scary.

My biggest takeaway from that episode is that it confirmed everything we had heard and knew in our guts about Golson. He might've been talented, but he was 1/10th the leader of Zaire. He didn't have nearly as give-a-shit as Zaire, and that trait is what inspires accountability throughout the whole team. It is obvious from how Kelly and players speak to/about Zaire that they respect the hell out of him.

Also of note: Malik loves his camo shorts and green shirt.

I love BK's fire 'no one gives a shit'.

I love Terry Jillery getting a hard time from Day, it's just funny how annoyed Terry is.

Malik sounds like Steve-O.

Will Fuller is a quiet gangster and I just love him and will miss him when he's gone.

Great episode.

I like Will Fuller and his reservation in public. It's a breath of fresh air to see someone so talented not vie for the limelight. He's becoming one of my favorite ND players.

The episode was great to watch. It really draws you back to college and really my early to mid 20s, remembering what it's like as you further solidify your understanding of the world while constantly interacting with people.

Another great episode. A couple of takeaways from me.

1. I have been a real critic of BK when it comes to numerous things. Because of this show and seeing how he reacts with these young men I will certainly lighten up. He by far was the best fit for this team when ND chose to hire him.

2. These guys grow on me with every episode. Hopefully this will help us out when it comes to recruiting and will downplay some of the BS that other coaches say about out team/university.

3. I love how we get a little more insight into the facilities that our team has the privilege to utilize. I can hear now a mom or dad watching this saying "I want my son to go to ND"

4. Love the attitude of all the coaches and how they interact differently with each player. I one thing that shed some light on me about BK was how he handled MZ and then the transition to having DK as the starter. He treated him as if he belonged there and that can only instill confidence in DK moving forward.

5. Yes Lion MZ loves his green shirt and camo shorts. This tells me that he is always ready for WAR!

I haven't watched it yet, but I wonder what kind of an impact this is having on recruiting? It has to be positive, but how much?

On a side note, I happened to catch College football Roundup last night on ESPN. They had about 10-12 minutes on ND including Trick Shot Monday with a nice shot of the weight room.

IMO it has to have only a strong positive impact. Future players are getting to see nothing but positive things so far in the episodes. They're seeing the interactions from player to coach, seeing the facilities, and campus life.

Couldn't wait to watch it tonight so I watched it during lunch.

1. I love how Day has taken Tillary under his wing. That's a big brother seeing something special in his little brother and doing what is necessary to make sure he succeeds.

2. Kizer is very humble and appreciates the position he is in. He will do whatever is necessary to not like MZ or the team down. He doesn't realize it yet, but he's already a pretty good leader.

3. No doubt this is a "team" in every sense of the word. The injuries might be depleting the team physically, but they are also making this team stronger mentally.

4. This show makes you enjoy this team even more.

5. Collingsworth not only looks like his dad, but sounds just like him! lol

2. Not only his leadership, but the way he talks to Jac about seeing how MZ trained and prepared for this year and how he felt MZ was a better option than even himself tells me a lot about his grasp on reality and that he understands there is no I in team. He also was very open and honest about how he came to realize he was never truly prepared for the position he's in and what went thru his mind when he realized this is now his team. He gets 'it' better than most.

5. Not only does he look and sound the part, the questions he asks and the way he goes about his interviews are well beyond his experience level. He's a natural. I hope we can keep him in the fold for a long long time.

And on the other side of the coin........... Chris Brown is quite the talker.

Just rewatched and need to reiterate what others have already stated. AWESOME portrayal of our University! Great inflection of our inner team. Brian Kelly is a veteran coach and you see the admiration in the eyes of the players and coordinators, can we lighten up a bit on him?

Anyone see how these ratings are? I could get real used to watching every Tuesday during our future seasons... A season with our lady. part Duex

Great freaking episode and shows every reason I love ND. As mad as I sometimes get watching games there is a bigger reason why I root for the Irish. This show has given a new perspective on BK.

I along with many others absolutely love the relationship between Day and Tillery. It's such a classic big brother, little brother. Make fun of him, I don't like it......well good I'll make fun of you more, but all in good fun. Kudos to Day on this.

This is just all around good to watch, and I'm sure the way this season has gone already in JUST 3 games is making Showtime smile ear to ear.

Just got to the DVR last night and wow, this show stepped it up a notch. My wife can't get enough of the Day / Tillery bromance. And holy crap did Kizer get real in his conversation with Jac.

Agreed. The first episode was a little bland, but, like others pointed out, they had to cover an entire pre-season and week 1 in a 30-min show. The last 2 episodes have been great even with the injuries. Really excited ND agreed to do this show.

I'm kinda curious what they will do with it after this season. If it's highly successful are they coming back for next season? Are they going to do a different team to spread it around and reach other fan bases? I guess a lot will depend on ratings by the end of the season.

I'd be shocked if they stuck with the same team. My guess is Michigan.

tOSU or Texas would probably be other options. They'll want to hit on large fanbases I'm sure to draw in viewers, and it's hard to get that from private institutions that aren't ND.

I highly doubt Harbaugh would let a film crew into his practices, etc. I'm sure the show would be interested, but I find it very unlikely that the Rainman would allow people to film his obscurity.
