Yes, a fine for the school. I think similar fines were already in place, but this regulates it more.

I thought they already head that?

That was for misconduct with the school itself, this is in terms of legal trouble. "Serious Misconduct" stands for "Sexual Assault" and "Domestic Violence."

That had me in a quandary initially. Had this been aimed at individuals it would mean a huge windfall for the SEC.

If they could identify, prosecute and collect.

On a second reading it made more sense to me that the fine(s) would be levied against the schools.

Good luck with that, regardless. Would there be a threshold of just how many fans constitute a "rushing?" Who would be the (responsible) party making the determination? Would there be the opportunity to hire experts with an opposing opinion?

JUCO-dependent: The SEC’s most junior college-friendly teams

"Though they often arrive on campus with a high level of risk due to a short window of eligibility, junior college transfers can offer SEC programs plug-and-play options at positions of need.

While a school like Vanderbilt rarely brings in players from the junior college ranks due to academic concerns, there are many other schools in the league that are more willing to open the door for junior college players that can make a difference on the football field.

The Southeastern Conference Big Six: Who Is Historically the Best? (from Auburn site, two parts)

Outside of Kentucky tying for the title in '76 & '77, it has been since 1963 that no team "not named Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, or Tennessee has emerged as the football champion of the Southeastern Conference."

What odds to you give that one of these six is not the SEC champion this year? These six vs the rest of the field. "9 SEC teams ranked in Phil Steele’s preseason top 40"

The SEC and Scheduling Inconsistency (Or Why Modern SEC Football Began in 1982)

"What if I told you that prior to 1982, the SEC didn't care how many conference games you played in a season? For instance, in 1970 Auburn played 8 conference games, but LSU only played 5? During the Big Six era, which I wrote about in detail in yesterday's post, most teams played at least six conference games. There were some seasons where teams played as many as 8, and some where they played as few as 4 (Vanderbilt and LSU played only 4 in 1968, Georgia and Auburn in 1933, among others)....How then, do you choose a conference champion? Well, you do it by winning percentage. The SEC champion was chosen based on every team's winning percentage in conference. That allowed for some gaming of the system by teams (*cough*Alabama*cough*)."

Enjoyable articles.

GoVols247: UT freshman WR Preston Williams' status in limbo - GoVolsXtra Story
Tennessee freshman wide receiver Preston Williams, a former five-star prospect, is not expected to be available for the start of preseason camp after his standardized-test score recently was flagged, a source confirmed to GoVols247 on Friday.

The 6-foot-4, 180-pound Williams, who was one of the stars of the Vols' 2015 recruiting class, now will be forced to retake his standardized test. According to a tweet by WNML radio's Jimmy Hyams on Friday morning, Williams made a "significant jump" that caused his test score to be flagged by the NCAA Eligibility Center.

Quote me on this and print it all over the internet if you will, 'I don't give a %$#@ about the sec and their policy-they make it up as they go along to protect their phoney baloney business. The boys from Blazing Saddles would be proud.

i saw it on twitter...sometimes it makes you wonder how this goes into print before someone says they don't think it is a good idea

Right, it amazes me that nobody who created this or signed off on it going public put this together. Soooooooo bad.

Got to be honest, my mind wouldn't have taken it there instantly had I not seen Wooly's pic before the Vandy pic.
