Yeah, I'm really confused here. Not saying that the Bucks have done anything wrong, but being over 85, then declaring a kid medically ineligible, and another academically ineligible, only to have other schools clear them, isn't a good look. I'm sure that there's a good explanation, and/or more to the stories.

Some have brains and are asking intelligent questions. A few are on the verge of questioning buckeye status quo!

GlueFingers Lavelli 14 hours ago

88 players..... Corey Robinson wears #88,...... Mirko Sr. played on the '88 national title team..... its all making sense now![/
(My note : sounds like a frequent masturbator, "don't he?")

In another (couple of) threads issue was made as two who, or whether Will Fuller was the best known Irish receiver.

I have to tell all of you, over the last ten years with (tight ends and) receivers like Floyd, Tate, Samardzija, Fuller, Rudolph, and Eifert, the one I always hear about is Corey Robinson. How he was the bargain of the century. How it was a recruiting coup by ND, etc. Everyone does know and love Corey!

And of course . . .

NW Buckeye 15 hours ago

The good explanation is that ND does not have the strict entry requirements that their fans and coaches purport! LOL

But to sum it all up :

Blue Eyed Buckeye 14 hours ago

Mirko is acedemically cut at Ohio State but might get into Notre Dame.

Here's what Jamel Dean has to say about Ohio State after being medically DQ'd but then cleared to play at Auburn

"I'm going to have a lot of anger built up," if he ever winds up facing Ohio State on the football field.

Add in the Mike Webber situation and, boy, even if everything was done for the right reason the optics sure look really bad. One it's a miscommunication, two well you don't know the full story, but 3 starts to look like a trend.

I sure hope Urban is keeping things on the up-and-up because he's not just a coach, he's a steward of the reputation of a University that came before him and will live on long after he's gone

Notre Dame isn't happy with how the situation played out for Jurkovic at Ohio State. I don't think we'll get the details – not sure if we ever will – but that's what was said.

Per a source close to the situation, Jurkovic is working on raising his test scores. There's a chance he could enroll for the fall semester, but "worst case scenario" right now, would be for him to spend a semester at Holy Cross and then enroll at Notre Dame in January.

Here's a question. Why are we interested now? I mean, we didn't offer him before, correct?

Not saying I wouldn't welcome him. He's a legacy and he gone through some tough times. I like that we are willing to take care of people in the Notre Dame family. But I just find it interesting that we didn't offer him originally, but will take him now.

Hey, Whatever people want to believe is their right. However, people all over college football have been trying to do everything in their power to make the man with more ethics and a higher moral compass than all of the rest put together the bad guy. It never works because none of it is true. Out of all the major coaches in college football, let me think hmmm... Meyer and Saban and Saban and Meyer. I guess that's all I can think of. All i know is what every former player of Meyer has said about him, and none of it was anything but praise and respect.

It's almost just sad to see only two or three potentially intelligent posts in that thread that are more than "rabble rabble Notre Dame sucks rabble rabble". I mean, I get it. It's a message board. We do similar posts, but only a few people have actually questioned the situation and because their posts either don't kiss Urban's ass or diss on ND, they are voted down into oblivion.

are there actually any intelligent Ohio state message boards though? They are all seem equally terrible. I remember when Eichenberg committed i went on 11W and there was one Buckeye on there laughing at posters who suggested OSU was even remotely equal to ND in terms of academics. The guy was shouted down so badly by the majority, it was a massacre.

Wondering the same thing. Especially with our OL recruiting being so good that we can be somewhat picky.

Notre Dame signed just two offensive linemen last cycle and they went after some late as they wanted a 3rd

parker could pick OKL OR CLEM which then puts us behind the 8ball again because the other targets HH wanted are already committed elsewhere and Reese despite what he has said isn't really a player until he visits

Ben Bredeson is committed to Michigan, Michael Jordan is committed to Ohio State, and Nathan Smith is pledged to USC. Those were three of Harry Hiestand's other targets this cycle.

so they would fill a hole and help out a legacy at the same time

I'm not gonna bother with posting any of their ridiculous posts......there were far too many to keep track of......smh, however, a few that stick out in my mind. The poster who vilified Urbie as being saintly, because Tim Tebow played for him. I didn't see any mention of Aaron Hernandez and all the shit that Meyer let him get away with while in Gainesville. His constant poaching of players and neg recruiting, and his getting rid of players like every school in the $EC does. I'm simply amazed at how fans of that shit hole of a school follow their head coach like he walks on water. Kelly is no saint, and I've got no problem calling him out when he's wrong, and this isn't me being butt hurt, but I'm happy that Meyer didn't come to South Bend. The way he runs his program is beyond deplorable. I'd never let my kids play for him.

According to a few over at 11 idiots, we're gonna lose Kramer to pOSU......remember, they've got the best OL coach in the history of the game, and Urbie isn't done working his angle on TK just yet........a$$ clowns!!!

I saw that a lot too. I don't think I am too worried about it but you always gotta keep recruiting the guys halfway into the tent until they sign. Just wondered why they felt so sure of themselves...ya know other than just the fact that they are bucknuts

They treat him like he walks on water because in 2 out of 3 years he has an undefeated season and a national championship season. Think about that.

While I agree that he has a cut throat style, this isn't the cub scouts. This is big business.Like it or not college football is big business. Its no different than the corporate world. The NCAA allowed it to become that. It sucks but it is what it is and the sooner we fans except that, the better. If you want pure amateurism, watch the academies or division 2,and 3 like John Feinstein suggests.

Yes, but a lot of truth in it. One of his least trollish posts IMO lol. Should have been gone long ago for a whole lot more (not sure what he was banned for).

Ya don't piss off Lax...

Or tomorrow. I've been getting steamed up and a bit more vocal in the politics thread. I may well explode in a bannable way soon.

I'm also in the process of tossing everyday plates and flatware in anticipation of a move. NeuteredDoomer's kindly, gently and graciously bestowed moniker "SirDishHands" no longer applies.

That's why I do my best to stay out of such awful places. Some times I just can't help myself.
