Yeah. That brings me to another point, which is a little off topic, but connects well. Great salespeople don't automatically translate to good managers.

A poster at DD with ties to the south posted Parker's coach would be shocked if he isn't Irish

Adding Parker with the OL commits we already have would be a great addition.

Alford was one helluva recruiter for ND, I hated to lose him, but I think he wanted more, and he wasn't going to get that at ND.

Harry Heistand is becoming a great OL recruiter for us, he doesn't get them all, but he's gotten some quality kids for us; I think he's a bit underrated.

Parker could be the linemen version of Spike from Lil Giants.

Not underrated at all IMO. We'll be lucky if the NFL doesn't pluck him again soon.

Becoming? In fairness, I think he has been a great OL recruiter for us. His part in Zack Martin being a first rounder and Stanley soon to follow suit, has obviously helped a great deal. When guys like Hunter Bivin have been in your program for three years and haven't cracked the starting line..... you're loaded.

Best part of the whole deal is that the best has yet to come. This year could be one of the best lines we've seen in years. Late 80s, early 90s good.

if he keeps developing elite O linemen for the league, i can see him becoming a very attractive addition to an NFL staff, would boil down to where he wants to be then b/c he's starting something pretty special for himself at ND

Would like not love this pick up. Wonder how high his ceiling is as some have pointed out he might be maxed out. Couple people have said he might not be a ND kid either. But it Heistand wants him then I'll take him. He's exact same player as Ruhland with more offers.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but there are a lot of playoff caliber teams that disagree with you.

But I agree with you about HH. He could offer a 1/2 :s: recruit and I would back him up 100%

For a kid that has all those other offers, from a lot of places non-ND kids like to go, would be surprised for a non-ND kid to pick ND. Perhaps he's growing up, and sees ND as a place he "needs" to go to be the best he can be.

I mean, he could go to OK, Bama, Clemson, Florida, ASU, Auburn, Miami, OhSU, Ole Miss, OR, SCar, TN, TX, or WV and be the wrong kinda kid, while being protected.

Whatever you wanna call it, every kid we offer is an RKG then if you look at it that way. I'm just saying two people have told me Parker is different and it's what ND needs. I'm all for it, I'm just saying he's different then Steve Elmer
