I saw Brent in Martin's last week.
He was buying crab legs.
He gone...
He was buying crab legs.
He gone...
But did he say anything about transferring?

Let's see him do that weight while going parallel.
Not impressed at all. Using a box for stabilization isnt actual squatting. We used to do this box squat crap in high school and 600 lbs with a box squat isnt anything special.
Now do it parallel when your eyes are popping blood vessels and that is special.
I don't think a lot of strength programs ask guys to form squat with max weight anymore.
We used Gatorade coolers on our max squats in high school. The purpose was to make sure we went to parallel rather than stopping short, but it also defeated that purpose at the same time... You don't have to work to get to parallel when you know there's a rest waiting for you.
And, it's really easy to add 150+ pounds to your max when you're able to roll back on the cooler and get some momentum to explode back up with haha.
Are you being serious?
I'm not sure where on the Dork Meter a conversation between interweb friends debating the lifting techniques of a college football player lies... but it might be redlining...

Obviously when you start manipulating range of motion your strength levels change lets be generous and say that's 5 inches above parallel . according to you that's 30lbs per inch...So! with that being said...here is some reading material that will give you a thorough explanation of the aspects of the strength pendulum or strength curve. Obviously strength curve with manipulated range of motion will increase the amount of weight being pushed but...150lbs? maybe if we throw some INZER predators or metal Briefs on him. But he would never being able to figure those out, he needs a squat overhaul anyway.

I wasn't referencing Justin, first of all, I was referencing my own experience with box squats. And my 150 lbs comment was not a scientific measurement based on range manipulation, it was a (tongue-in-cheek) guess as to how much additional weight we were able to squat, since we were rolling into the (parallel) Gatorade cooler and exploding back up, rather than going down and back up all on our own power.
Good grief.
The best part of that clip was the old school Tupac.
I'll tell you, i've been in out of Powerlifting Gyms since I was 15. Its almost a guarantee that you're either listening to Old School Rap or some sort of Norwegian death metal. Nothing gets you more jacked than Eazy E and some Ammonia caps lol
He does seem to be about the weights though. I agree with an above poster, move this dude to safety turn him into a Jack Tatum like assassin.
