Per Loy we even helped set him up with other schools. Apparently his relationship with Cooks is exceptional and he facilitated the process. Loy is also saying it's unsure if he can pass NCAA standards.

I remember Lou doing this with several kids that wanted to come here but couldn't get admitted. Love to see the staff treat student athletes well and help them however they can. Going to miss him.

Yes he did. Randy is the most notable one but he did it for 4-5 kids over his time here.

Man, I hate to see any young person not attain the things that they really want, but in the end life has a way of working itself out if you keep putting one foot in front of the other. Sorry to lose you Prentice, you have a whole lot of talent and I wish we could have had you in South Bend, but wish the best of luck to you in all of your endeavors.

So does this impact how we're looking to fill the rest of the class, or was this expected and part of the recent plan? Basically, are we still looking for 1 safety, or will we go all out trying to land 2 now?

Glad he did this before Reid and Farrar visits. One thing to say one of our safeties won't be in this class but better to see it actually happen.

This is why we are ND. To bad he couldn't make it but it is good to see the coaches back up there words and have young men's interest at heart. Not many coaches have that in them.
