Where were you for the '93 FSU game?

Hard to believe it's been over 20 years.

We tailgated outside the stadium. Wanted to go in but the tickets were scarce and WAY out of my league so we found a guy with an old 25" console TV hooked up to a generator and watched it in the parking lot with about 50 reeeeeeally drunk people. Went back Michigan City when they kicked us out after the game and it was like Mardi Gras... one of the local bars stayed open through the night till Polish Mass at 7am.

We were interviewed by a WNDU reporter and it aired on Jeff Jeffers' segment on Sunday or Monday.

Great memory.

I was 10 years old and at my grandmother's house. She made an apple crumb pie that would make you slap yo momma. I am actually watching the game right now as well;)

Can't wait, gonna be another great one!

I was a Senior in high school. Watched it alone in my room because I was so nervous. My dad was at the game. Ordered him not to come home without a Catholics vs Creminoles shirt. I wore it to school that Monday.

I was at the game dressed as I am in my avatar. Almost got kicked out before the game even started when I was stupidly shaking the port-a-potty as my buddy was trying to take a pre-game dump. The whole stadium was chanting "Lou" everytime the FSU fans started that ridiculous tomahawk chant. Got a serious fat lip charging the field after the game after two 50 year old dudes ran up my back trying to get to the field. The "knock down" happened right in front of us.. Most fun ever at an ND game.

Where were you for the '93 FSU game?

I was a freshman in high school, and me and a friend watched with my dad in the living room. Still have that game on VHS.

I was 13 (Keep that in mind) I was already a HUGE ND fan and all of my friends hated ND for one reason or another... in memory, that season seemed to just build up to ND/FSU all year, with trash talk and discussion going along the lines of" ND will never beat FSU anyway".. for weeks.

When the game finally came I remember it didn't start well (Like the first couple drives, again I was 13) and I bitched out and said "I'm not gonna watch us get stomped" and I went to the local dollar theater and saw Dumb and Dumber... when I got home my Dad told me what happened....

of course I went to school on Monday and lit into all my hater friends as if the title was already won, which made the following week (after the BC meltdown) unbearable and taught me to never talk shit about sports again...

For the record i own two copies of the game and have seen it from beginning to end numerous times now.

I was a broke newlywed, just had a tiny TV and didn't want to watch on that. I had a buddy that worked at a local electronics store(Steinberg's!), and he was the manager in charge that day. He let me come in and just sit at the wall of TVs to watch the game. Every TV in the store was tuned into that game and I just sat and watched with a smile on my face. What a game.

WOW! I may have been at the same tailgate. Wait... unless there were two groups of 50 reeeeeeally drunk (and happy) tailgaters? Nah, couldn't be ;-)

I was a 17 year old high school senior. I watched the game at home (in Niles, MI) with my dad who has been gone now for 9 years. It was one of my best memories with him.

Lucky dog!

One of my all time regrets, not going in. We never would have made rent if we would have gone in, cheapest tickets were over $200 if I remember correctly. That was a stack back in the day. Still had a great time in the lot... and got to keep drinking!

If I could jump into the Hot Tub Time Machine, I'd tell you this, rent would've been late.

I was a sophomore in college attending the game with my dad. One of my best sports memories. Anyone remember when the clouds parted and the sun started shining on the field when the band played the fight song?

Probably watching Rugrats not knowing that, in 1994, Donkey Kong Country would be released and my life would change forever.

I will be at the same place this week that I was in '93. In the golf shop. I will never forget jumping up and down in the back room behind the counter after the last play. Customers thought I was nuts. This year I will be hunkered down in my office. Now my employees will think I am crazy.

I was ten years old and at my, then, best friend's house. This was the first ND game I remember watching at my young age. It marked the beginning of my fan-hood. One week later, I was introduced to the feeling of gut-wrenching disappointment. Fun times.

Literally the first football game I've ever seen. Watched it on a 19" color TV. It's what made me an Irish fan. I hope some other young kids have the same experience on Saturday.
