14 tackles, 2.5 TFL, and a sack today.
Sweet Jesus.
My man Jesus said, ' and he was good.'

And he's probably just scratching the surface of his real potential. I knew he was awfully good coming out of Bishop Luers, but my God........he's certainly impressed me more than Manti did at that age. I know they were different types, however, his speed and skill, is unmatched from any other LB I've seen in college this year.
All American next year.
He's on pace for 108 tackles, 16 TFL and 5 sacks... he may be an all american this year!
The guy was all over the field yesterday. They had zero answers for him.

I got ripped when I said 'I love his bowling ball celebration'. Still don't know what it is if it's not that.

It would never happen, but it'd be fun to see him lined him up at TE/WR in the redzone

Notre Dame linebacker Jaylon Smith was named the impact player of the week by the Lott Award on Tuesday, marking the second time this season the Irish standout has received the award. Smith won the award following his week two performance against Michigan in which he had 10 tackles in the 31-0 shutout of Michigan.
Smith had 14 tackes, 2.5 tackles for loss and one sack in Notre Dame's come-from-behind 17-14 victory over Stanford on Saturday. A $1,000 donation to Notre Dame's general scholarship fund will be made in Smith's name.
The Lott Trophy was established to honor college football's defensive impact player of the year. Previous weekly winners this season include Eric Kendricks of UCLA, Hau'oli Kikaha of Washington and Randy Gregory of Nebraska.
That's great! When all is said and done he will be a legend in ND lore. What an amazing young man this kid is. He represents the school and himself so well.
He's the total package. As smart as he is athletic, as hard working as he is naturally gifted and seems to be just as good of a kid as he is a player. As a selfish fan, I hope he stays for four years.
