I'm going to continue speculating on the fate of these 5 athletes and what the F&$* is taking so long.

People are still going to give their opinions on Jayru Campbell and how much of a douche he seems to be.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that people may start guessing on where the class of 2016 recruits end up.

I know. The horror of it all. If this bothers you, I suggest another medium to read. I've heard good things about news papers and books.

Just stay way from the fiction stuff. You know that stuffs made up? Horrible, I know.

To clarify...

1. You made the point that the university could use the email of a third party to substantiate the contents of the emails from the player who is allegedly refusing to cooperate.

2. I quoted you and rewrote your text to a statement that you never made, illustrating that it would be terribly unreliable to get things anywhere other than the proverbial horse's mouth.

The off-topic nature has jumped the shark; there isn't much moderating to be done in that regard.

However, holding discourse with fellow posters in a CIVILIZED manner is still expected.

No name-calling, hair-pulling, STFU-ing, coloring on the walls, etc. etc.

This is a place for opinions and speculation. If you take issue with someone's theories or beliefs, debate and argue in a fruitful way. No need to be dicks to eachother.

But if you sent a copy of your paper to someone to proof read and they returned it with say, a rewrite of paragraph two, and you then mistakenly submitted that copy to your teacher as your assignment ... with the incriminating email attached ...

It wouldn't require a third party.

A half dozen years or so ago, there was a poster on another ND board, a late 20's business professional, that sent a email to a lover breaking off an affair. He sent the email from his work computer and he inadvertently sent it to everyone on his contact list ... including his wife, his boss, and the other party's spouse. His boss allowed him to resign. His wife's attorney wasn't as charitable.

Thanks to BGIF for posting the relevant ND policy provisions.

I'd say that, if true, it's got to be about the player's private email account, not his ND email account.

I'd further speculate that at this point it's not about determining innocence or culpability, but about determining appropriate sanctions. I can't believe at this point any of them have been determined to be without fault. If they were, wouldn't they have been reinstated by now?

My guess is that the delay may be about compiling other exacerbating or mitigating information necessary for the determination of just but equitable sanctions.

And if you've read this and are pissed at me guessing, remember: you were warned up front and your dyspepsia is your fault not mine! (That's meant to be humor).

Unfortunately I was accepted to Baylor Law School for their class of 2015. When sending out the mass email for student deposits, one of their staff members attached a spreadsheet detailing every name, email, GPA, LSAT score, Financial Aid status, and scholarship for every accepted member of the class. I was fairly pissed.

Check those attachments guys, I'm pretty sure that Baylor employee lost her job.
