Hate to be a party pooper but according to Steve, Henry will not be committing this weekend even if he wants too because his dad wouldn't allow it. I am rather glad because we need to be sure he is absolutely committed bc of the fiasco with Blake this year

Get over it Pops... ND is one of the top 20 best looking campuses in the country regardless of location. When they make college movies, the setting looks like ND... not Pepperdine.

I'm in Laguna which trumps Westlake and it ain't no ND campus.

Putting two and two together. I'm assuming Dad has basically told him that you aren't allowed to get caught up in the moment and commit this weekend. You must come back home, talk to the family, give it a few days to settle, and then you can commit if you feel you are ready.

Can't say I blame Dad if that's what he is telling his son.

I agree with this and I hope this is true. It will be better for all if he goes home and thinks about it, talks with his family, and then makes a decision.

Ive been watching the stream of his game on and off tonight and he's looked pretty inconsistent from what I've seen. He's shown flashes of his arm but he's been overthrowing his receivers a lot tonight. His O-line hasn't always been giving him much time either. His running and evasion skills have surprised me tho...he moves much better than I expected. He has 2 QB sneaks for TD's and he just threw an INT on the goal line.

Overall you can see the potential but he must be having a bad game or something because he really doesn't look like a top QB in the country tonight. Also not sure how good the opposing team is (Red Mountain from AZ I think) so that might be a factor too.

But then again...I'm not a coach or anything so I may be way off.

Game just finished. Westlake won 34-27. It was tied and Henry led Westlake down the field for the game winning TD with 10 or so seconds left. He did it more with his legs than his arm. Their O-line is really bad tho from what I could tell. He was scrambling all night. And his receivers didn't seem to be getting a lot of separation but his throws were off target quite a bit. I don't think he had a passing TD all night. Pretty sure it was 2 rushing TD's and an INT at the goal line. But there were times where he definitely flashed his potential and put the ball where it need to be with his arm...just inconsistent, as I said earlier.

I'll take inconsistent as a junior. He will get coached up a lot at these clinics over the next year and a half before he steps foot on a college campus. If he can show flashes of it then it's more than likely mechanical and they can fix that. And we all know that he will not be unprotected by an O-line if(when) he comes to ND.

Agreed. There are a lot of factors that could have played into his less than stellar performance last night but I'd still love to have him. All the problems I noticed seem to be fixable with good coaching. Pretty sure the game was in AZ too so that means he had to get back to Westlake and then fly to ND for today's visit. Unless he just flew straight here from AZ.

No matter what, you can see he has the potential to be a stud and I'd love to see him end up at ND.
