Welcome Q

This kid has the frame to get bigger and he's already large. The O-line is going to be a dominant force and we all know that's where games are won.

Hate to say it, but that is pretty much par for the course in my experience with the caliber of person that the typical OSU fan is.

Way to be tough Quenton!

What an absolute loser! (bucknuts, that is)

WTF is wrong with these people? Hey bucknutz...first of all learn to count, and even if you were trying to use hyperbole you're still a loser. 2nd of all, as an OL, would you rather play with sh!tty linemen and walk-ons like OSU will be using in a couple of years (under a mediocre coach who his players are whatever about and HORRIBLE recruiter in comparison to Heistand), or would you rather play with studs all across the line that will only make your life easier, under a coach who the players LOVE and who recruits his arse off?

Hmmmmmm...tough call.

i'm sure that's something he would do, but personally i hope they just turn the other cheek as hard as it would be for me to do the same.

question, i apologize i'm not familiar with twitter, but is there a way for someone with twitter to block comments from others?

I also love seeing the trolls backtrack when a player responds to their snarky tweets.

Because we all know people that tend to hyperbolize are losers!

Oh, wait a minute. LOL!

I cannot belive anyone who would want to ingratiate themselves with any young kid by communicating with them; do they have no personal fukin' pride?

Let alone by some half-azzed form of electronic media. (get the joke ant?)

And then show the incredibly douchey, (it is with an 'e' isn't it?) behavior of dissing them like a beotch when they pick another school! If I acted like this and suddenly awoke to my senses I would paddle my kayak from the furtherest ice floe . . .

Finally, I watched several of Quentons tapes just now and I have heard this before, but it is incredible watching, his blocking target is so taken out of the play until the whistle blows. I mean he has no problem with db's in an open field or a guy over his nose. The are neutralized.

I also love seeing the trolls backtrack when a player responds to their snarky tweets.

So I went and checked this guy out. Someone corrected him that with Q there have been 8 in these last two classes; and that at least ND is getting great skill players unlike Michigan! This made me laugh (alot!) Am still chuckling.

Really, this is it: But can someone answer me why so many IE'ers seemed to get 'buthurt' by these buckeye trolls? I mean really! They are funny but pathetic. You guys really so get into it; the pathos!

This is a great point. Lineman want to play with other quality guys to make it easier. Plus being an offensive lineman is a no non-sense job. No highlights no sexy stats just wins. And best way to win is to have another 4 qulaity lineman lined up next to you. Do you think that Barrett Jones is upset that he played on a NC team that had two first round lineman on it. I highly doubt it.

Adding Q is awesome, this class is on its way to the top. It will only get better. Would like to see some D-line recruiting.

Some of these buckholes make we wish we would have joined the Big 10 just so we can regularly beat the hell out of Urban Liar and his band of cry babies.

Agreed but I think we are going to have to be extremely patient with that. The top prospects we are going after seem to be wanting to play out the process. Williams and Frazier are our #1 at CAT and NG and from everything I've read they'll be taking officials.

From BK's conversation last night with Nelson, per ESPN:

“He asked me where I was in the process and I told him I still needed to think about it. He said how I’m a great fit and I said ‘I know but I need more time,’ ” Nelson said. “He said ‘Take all the time you want because we have a spot in February,’ and when I heard that it made me feel much more wanted.’

“But even if he didn’t say that I still would have committed.”

Coffee is for closers.

Brian Kelly told Nelson to take all the time he needed, that Notre Dame was willing to wait until signing day for the four-star offensive lineman.
“He said ‘Take all the time you want because we have a spot in February,’ and when I heard that it made me feel much more wanted.’

“But even if he didn’t say that I still would have committed.”

The two ended the call without a commitment. However, a minute later, Nelson called back and told Kelly he thought about it and was ready to join the Irish’s 2014 class.

First and foremost the coaching staff,” said Nelson, reeling off reasons for his verbal pledge. “I’ve gotten to know Coach Kelly a little more from talking to him. I love [offensive line] Coach [Harry] Hiestand’s coaching style and how he coaches, and Coach [Chuck] Martin is a great offensive coordinator. They have the No. 1 business school, love the campus, and it was the best fit for me academically, spiritually and athletically.”

He and fellow four-star commit Sam Mustipher, the No. 11 guard nationally, could end up playing together on the line, which both feel would make for one dominant side of the offensive line.

The two recently worked together at a camp and participated in a two-on-two drill, and Nelson said it was eerie how in sync the two already are.

“We didn’t have to even communicate when the defensive linemen stunted,” Nelson said. “We knew what we were doing. It was magical.”

"Those kids stole the show and flat-out dominated," Helmholdt said. "Offensive linemen are at a serious disadvantage in camps and I can really only think of maybe two defensive linemen who could say they won the majority of their reps.

Quenton Nelson will be going to Soldier Field in June.
"It was the most dominant group of offensive linemen that I can remember at a regional camp -- or even a national one."

The main statement-maker from the weekend was Red Bank (N.J.) Catholic offensive tackle Quenton Nelson.

?Nelson entered the event as the No. 66 player in the Rivals100 and No. 8 offensive tackle nationally.

Rivals.com Mid-Atlantic recruiting analyst Adam Freidman said that from what he saw, Nelson will be climbing the charts. What he took away from the in-person evaluation was that Nelson is a college-ready prospect.

"Nelson was spectacular," Freidman said. "He had really impressive lateral movement and was more patient than I was expecting. He would wait to deliver a punch but when he did it was well-timed and very effective."

Nelson, whose play earned him a trip to Solider Field in Chicago for the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge in June, committed to Notre Dame on Wednesday night.

Nelson was not the only impressive OL in Newark as Olney (Md.) Good Counsel guard Sam Mustipher also drew praise.

The two paired up in most every drill and worked side by side during the one-on-ones.

?Freidman listed Mustipher as the No. 3 offensive lineman at the New Jersey event and said he still has some work to do, but he has the technical skills to correct the flaws.

Because reading these articles gets me excited I want to say one more time. Anybody that saw this kid perform over the last couple of weeks say he is one of the best Olineman in the country. Farrell in his analysis on rivals tagged him as a potential 1st round pick. He will be moving higher in the rankings on both sites (247 and rivals) by summers end.

Let me add that losing KC hurt at the time but he went to a rivals camp. Farrell said that Nelson was the best lineman at any of the rivals camps so far.
