And "Working out with Longo" you can "bet they are also studying film and running with the team". It doesn't matter what the truth is, its what the perception is. The perception is that ND Athletic Academics are a joke.

Running a bit late. Be on campus in 15. Garmin got confused when I set destination to 'Bryant's abs' and crashed, which is making me late. Apparently that search covered too large of a geographical area and garmin couldn't handle it.

Would there be some big investigative story proclaiming the downfall of ND Academics? Probably not.

There doesn't need to be a full blown story for the public to come to a conclusion, and that conclusion would be, right, wrong or indifferent, that ND reinstated those players on the eve of a big game for the sole purpose of that big game.

Everyone here... on account of being an active and informed follower of Notre Dame... has a very skewed perception of how big this story is. Because every day, we're looking for updates and answers.

To get the public to make illogical leaps towards "Notre Dame only cleared these players because Michigan is coming up" presupposes a number of inaccurate premises. It also presupposes that they would care at all. Outside of hardcore Michigan fans and deep seeded Notre Dame haters, there isn't a single person that would blink an eye at this.

The haters always post the USF gif. Granted, it looked bad, though I'd be super pissed too the way they played (oh wait, I was). Kelly got flak from that internally and in the media. But has he really had such an "episode" since? I mean, there's the typical level of yelling that every coach does, but I cannot recall him getting angry on the sideline like that since. Is this just my selective memory at work?
