had 2 catches w/ one being a td and 2 punt returns (3 yards and 7 yards)in the first game...pretty pedestrian

His numbers were pedestrian, but he was heavily involved in that he was targeted at least six times that I can think of. I'm pretty sure he also had a jet sweep play that was blown dead, and thus was not on the books.

I think he will end up being a formidable weapon for Rich Rod; I guess I just expected his numbers to elevate through the year after they showed in week one that they wanted to get him a decent amount of touches.

Rich Rod is on his third QB in the last three years. Matt Scott was an electric fifth year senior two years ago, but Denker was mediocre last year. Anu Solomon is a redshirt freshman that he'll have around for a while. That's going to come with bumps in the road. But I think he's probably feeling good about that position now.

Should be interesting to watch.

You look at Miami since he left and you have to really question if Coker was the issue...

Also helps that the state of Texas has a deep pool of talent to draw from!

I don't think he was the issue. He will be getting some good job offers after this season I would imagine!

It's not like he is wrong, guy just has a different gear then everyone else. Would love to see him as our starting return guy and slot WR this year.
