Yeah, I gotta think this is wishful thinking on our parts here. If they heard about the allegations back on 7/29 it takes about an hour (less time than it takes to read this thread) to go through an email history and look at who sent what to whom and when. DaVaris and his dad can start their own PR campaign and they are smart to, but the reality is I simply can't believe the president of the university and the AD would stand in front of a mic with names if they hadn't already done the email forensics.

I guarantee it's all there on the email.

Yeah, I just saw their thread actually. I saw they've got a thread with her picture in it. I also received a PM from someone here already, so it's moot. They've got her name over on the Shag, the article it came from, pictures, everything. They can be assholes like that sometimes, but they can also be funny assholes which is why I drop by the Shag from time to time.

I agree that the woman's name and picture shouldn't be just posted out in the open here, especially if it turns out she's not the right person (Seems doubtful). Still, a lot of outsiders come to this board, and until anything is proven or disproven it's probably best that her name isn't drug through the mud by continuing to identify her. Considering the amount of traffic this site has drawn, I agree that her name and picture shouldn't go beyond PMs and/or the Gentleman's Club, if that.

I'm really struggling with how I feel about this whole ordeal. On the one had, I love ND because of what the University stands for and how they always try to do what is right. On the other, in situations like this one, I feel like they're going completely overboard. The ND Circus has come to town and they're here to stay.

LAX has already done a great job pointing things out to which I agree completely so I'll spare you those feelings. One thing I haven't seen mentioned yet is why they feel to make this a huge deal? With Golson, it was an open and shut case. He cheated, he got kicked out, end of story. There is literally zero reason for ND to go into full investigation mode and try to bring down the entire football program based on four kids allegedly cheating. If they cheated, suspend/expel them, case closed. I don't understand the circus this is becoming. I don't understand ND wanting to vacate wins. I don't understand why they felt the need to hold a press conference about it. The whole thing just doesn't add up.
