UCLA wouldn't be very smart to let him transfer to Oregon.

UCLA would be very smart to let him transfer to ND, especially if religion is involved and after that whole EV fiasco. I'm sorry, but if they blocked him, I'd hope the negative PR would be off the charts. They'd certainly deserve it.

I wonder what "personal issues" would cause a Cali kid to leave UCLA and go to ND. So confused, so happy. WHY?!!?

EDIT: ISD Intel suggests that religion is a major part of his life. Could have something to do with it.

Not enough hot chicks on campus. Will transfer to ND to remedy.

There is certainly cause for optimism here and a good way to kick off a Friday. I'll be thirsty for more indications that this thing has legs. Would be HUGE!

Per ISD intel, his bags are packed for ND. He sent his contact letter to one school, ND. Ball is in our court here with admissions and red tape. Per ISD.

Suck it Mora.

Time its a complete blur for me. Can someone please confirm that today's date is NOT April 1.

If we could get a waiver for Fitts to play SDE for us this year...

If ND was in Cali or closer to Cali, I firmly believe we would've landed this kid initially. He is very religious and also very close to his family. Being religious was a huge initial draw to ND but ultimately being close to home won out.

Amazing how great the day started with this news...and now it's basically turned to shit. I really hope this kid lands at ND and can play immediately (by some miracle).

That would be incredible. The only piece we can't replace from this loss is K. Russell. He was definitely our best CB. Let's hope they find the students did nothing wrong but get their stick wet with a tutor.

Has anyone heard any reason why he might be able to play immediately? Call me old fashioned but I tend to assume that transfers will have to sit a year unless I know of some reason they might get a waiver. Although I get that the NCAA's decisions on who gets a waiver seen more and more arbitrary every year.
