He's in full out 2012 mode. He was made a fool then and he simmered down for a while but he seems back in full form. He's also recently made emphatic declarations on Ross and Brown. He pulls no punches. Might end up with a lot of egg on his face.

Weber to SCUM is actually good for ND, if Weber had of chose USC then it would have made Hayes a harder flip next year.

What happend in 2012?

When the Titanic started taking on water, Schraeder started very emphatically and aggressively deriding any reports talking about kids flipping from USC. He was really... mean? rude?... whenever someone brought up something about someone flipping or not heading to USC. He repeatedly said people "didn't know what they were talking about" and that Redfield, Matthew Thomas, Fitts, Hawkins, Hatcher, Vanderdoes, Isaac, etc. etc. were all super solid locks to USC and not looking elsewhere.

Then every time someone did, he got really defensive and blamed it on some wackadoodle reason as if that excused him being an idiot. He got a LOT of shit from everyone about it, basically people telling him to STFU making statements of fact unless he actually KNOWS something.

Also, for those that don't know, if ND had had room for Isaac we would've landed him but we liked Folston/Bryant better. Also, there's a strong chance Hawkins would've come to ND if we would've had room for his brother.

I watched his film and he simply didn't impress me. I've been very honest when it comes to recruits. The RB we signed was similarly uninspiring but possibly has more upside given his size and speed but he's coming back from injury.

I think we should be able to pull a top-10 running back and Weber is not that. You put his tape against some of our other targets and it's really not close.

This is the worst thing about Schraeder. When he says stuff like this, it puts recruits in a very awkward spot. Very, very awkward spot. Defeats the whole purpose of a "silent" if there is one.

If he declares for somewhere else, then Schraeder has to stick to his guns and say he lied to the coaches/flipped.

If he declares for USC, then the recruit loses his moment.

Just another punk move from a punk. Not surprising.

Doing things like saying everyone's jumping on the Trojan train, a prospect is going to commit at around 3 PT and he's already got the article written up is why even though he is right sometimes the guy is just annoying.

Oh and he did that exact thing today and nothing happened.
