Honestly I can't argue with Stanford. If there were two football teams that could do the student athlete right, it is them and ND.

Yeah, Stanford does it right and you can't really knock them. They are really becoming a major thorn on the trail. We have to get back on the winning side of this series, as competing for the same kids is tough without getting W's. Kids like Solomon, Shultz, Carter, Lyons, and that DB from LA last year that we missed on signing day, are all kids that I would have lived to be Irish. Right now Stanford is on the upswing, so the best way to combat that is to beat them on the field. For me, aside the Michigan game, I feel we need this game above the rest moving forward.

Did anyone see his numbers from the Opening? Interested in how he scored.

I assumed that meant he took "SAT 2s" or SAT subject tests in the subjects of the French language and the German language. For instances, I took math, physics, and chemistry SAT tests. The test wasn't administered in French one day and German another and took both just for the hell of it. He knows French and German and took a knowledge based test on his understanding of the languages.

After reading the SI piece, you are absolutely correct. The snippet I read on a NU site worded it differently.

Sounds like his Mother is from the Alsace-Lorraine region being that she is so pro Franco-Germanic educationally. That being said, why would a good Catholic girl not want her son to go to Notre Dame???

She's a mother, so I can guarantee her two primary concerns are academics and location. Stanford obviously has both going for them. Hopefully she cares more about academics than location, cause its seemingly coming down to ND and USC. Didn't his Dad say at The Opening that Stanford was pretty much out of it?

With the CB coming from Wiltfong that is fantastic news he is one of the best in the business. Soso and Equanimeous come on down. Throw some Bilal and Coney in there and we have a party.

Per usual I take CBs with a grain of salt but considering it's Wiltfong...

Servite every year is a school that sends in kids to Notre Dame. That CB is Huge. ESB has the potential to become a great player on and off the field for the Irish.

In terms of pro potential, I put ESB just behind DD of guys currently committed or on the roster. Meaning I think he has the 2nd best pro potential out of all those guys and I really like our WR corp so its saying something. From a pro perspective he has a great blend of size and speed.

Mr. Brown is the man with the plan. No way he bred his stud sons to end up with a marginally more prestigious degree from Stanford, when presented with the awesome publicity platform that is ND football.

ESB is going to be well taken care of and get an excellent degree, while playing on the greatest stage in college football.

He's getting it all!

Not all parents have a plan, but Mr. Universe does.

I don't think its very likely at this time but Loy did talk with his father at the opening and has recently said there is a chance he comes back for another summer visit. If that occurs then the odds would drastically increase. In fact at that point I would think he'd be coming to commit or be sure of his decision. One reason for Loy and Wiltfong's confidence is we are recruiting him significantly harder than the other schools in contention.

He better hurry. summer is winding down and school starts soon. It will be harder to squeeze something in once school starts. Not impossible, but harder.
