'15 FL OLB Te'Von Coney (Notre Dame Early Enrollee)

Coney has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Ohio State, Clemson.. Sykes had offers from Mizzou, Syracuse, Indiana, Iowa State.. In fact, he attended a lot of camps (Bama, Michigan State, Wisconsin) and they did not offered him.

Like i said about Sykes a few months ago, i really liked his junior film when he played with his hand on the ground and was just an edge rusher, he dominated with his burst/quickness. As a linebacker i was not impressed with him (his lack of closing/lateral speed was evident). I still think he is a tweener ala Shembo and in a 43 defense, even being undersized, i saw him as a WDE.

I like Sykes and i think he is a good football player but Coney has elite offers and is a better fit, in my opinion.

By the way, last LB recruited by Florida was Anzalone ('13). If he commits to Florida this summer, maybe he can change his mind later because i think Muschamp will be fired this year.

Honestly, of that bunch I like our chances.
Tennessee and Louisville don't seem like a threat.
OSU is, of course, but most top kids who leave SEC country don't do it for a football factory. What Meyer sells, they can get closer to home.
Florida's got to still be favorite. But with Muschamp in peril, who knows.
He seems to be interested in what we have to offer. And he'd be a great get. We'll see.
