“@TomVH: Justin Hilliard's dad told me he doesn't know where his son is going yet. Was one school Friday, a different one Saturday. Picking tomorrow”

If this is true why even choose on Wednesday, why the rush. His spot is reserved at both schools so he has nothing to worry about there, if he is truly this torn why not take more time to reflect on this decision. Just seems odd if he is going back and forth like to rush a decision.

This charade they're playing out is disappointing.

Agree, I expected his dad would say Justin has thought long and hard about this decision and has come to a rock hard decision that has been well thought out and researched. I'm very surprised they are doing the whole build up the mystery thing, didn't really seem like their style

I agree.. For the longest time Justin was pretty quiet about his recruitment. Over the last 2 weeks, he's taken to twitter quite often. Retweeting all the fan bases. I understand that he wants his minute in fame, but he's been playing the game pretty loudly as of late.

Lot knows something he seen pretty spot on all year I wouldn't be surprised if they pick ND, there's an article on Jashon posted recently with quotes on Notre Dame how he knows if he goes there he will be taken care of and his teacher is in his ear about us all the time

For some reason I always read your posts in a really loud, encouraging, adolescent voice, like you're trying to pump up the team at halftime during The Little Giants or something. How close am I?

Didn't he say he'd share his reasoning behind his final prediction? Did he add anything to it?

Meh, kinda. He didn't share anything that would explain the "encouraging information" line from the other day. He just said that Hilliard and his family have a list of 13 things that they are going over for each school and that because Hilliard has treated this like a business decision, and Kelly took a business-like approach, that it will pay off and Hilliard will choose ND.

Cool, thank you

That teacher, Dean of students Marcus Freeman, was recruited out of Cretin to play tight end for Notre Dame. Freeman has been a mentor for Cornell since grammar school. The Hilliard/Cornell connection goes back to an Iowa game both attended in the fall of 2012. This Wednesday's concocted drama, is almost as electrifying as the night Eddie Vanderdoes committed to Notre Dame!

Will Hilliard surprise most readers on IE and pick the Irish?

I won't get into Loy bc I don't want to get into it with his fanboy, but Jashon is NOT picking ND. I don't think Hilliard is either, but at least there is a smidgen of hope there. There is no hope with Cornell.

very surprized Hilliard's recruitment is ending up like this, i kinda expected it from Cornell but Hilliard always seemed more mature and above this sort of thing.

I agree. He's turning this into a bit of a sideshow. I am kind of surprised. Seemed like a classy kid.

The kid isnt saying anything. According to a Bleacher Report interview, Hilliard knows the school and has known for longer vs what his dad supposedly said yesterday. All the hoopla is coming from media outlets. I mean, he could obviously choose Notre Dame tomorrow, but from a business perspective, 247 almost has to have Wiltfong or Loy say hes going to ND bc they would be dumb to not capitalize as a business on the traffic. But, everything you have read and heard is not from Justin Hilliard, its a from his dad, from a reporter, from digging deep into sources, while Justin has shut off media minus this BleacherReport piece, and who knows when it was taped.

I agree here with TP. What has Hilliard really said to make this a "side show" or make you think he is going about his decision process any different than how he has all along? He set a announcement date and has hyped nothing since, his dad made one comment (Not Justin), and since JH set the date Cornell (seems to want the attention but that's on par for his recruitment) and Baker set dates....

I still have much respect for Hilliard and the way he has handled this extremely pressure filled process.

To me the stage is set for the classic decision between the easy choice and the right one. I think he loves OSU but knows ND is the right one. Will he be up for the task? Or will he succumb to Urban's usual b.s. and go the easy route? I hope he picks ND but it isn't going to "shock" anyone when he picks OSU.

If you put it that way, then the answer is obvious. In college football the choice is always the BS one.

Boys don't get your hopes up.

That's all I'll say about it.

In my opinion, we've been the guy that dances with the girl and gets her drinks.

OSU has taken her home.

Every trip to Notre Dame, he ended it with an OSU nightcap.

The proof: well it's in the pudding.

I'm pretty sure most feel the way this is going. For some reason I don't think this will end tomorrow though. Not sure why, just an instinct.
