He was offered a few days ago. Committed extremely early to Arizona (like 2 years ago); some big time offers seem to be coming in as of late so lets see if that commitment sticks.

Patterson says he is still an Arizona commit, but is "completely open to anything." He added he has always dreamed of going to ND and he has relatives in the area. An uncle graduated from ND and is a huge fan. Patterson is planning to visit Notre Dame so he can meet coaches and get a feel for how he'd fit in.

Yeah Eason is really good. Don't get me wrong, I would take any of these 5 QB's and be very thrilled. Just as long as he comes in and leads instead of leaving us right in the middle of the cycle. I wish Barnett all the best, but that is not the actions of a QB. They are supposed to lead from the front and not back out on their word. I understand he is doing what is best for him, and I commend him for that, but the more I look at the effect of him leaving, the more disappointed I am that he chose us to begin with.

I agree a little but it's hard to say we lose respect for a player who decommitts from ND but then get excited about another player at the same position possibly flipping to ND. Wouldn't that player have similar character issues?

It is indeed the same thing. I wear my blinders too tight sometimes. I am not mad at any kid who chooses what he thinks is the best thing for him, it is really just my disappointment that shines through and it is not fair for me to do so. We certainly get our fair share of kids that flip to us as well, and I can understand other fanbases disappointment as well when it happens to them. Gotta be classy and understanding when you get em, as well as when you lose em. Great post bro, reps!
