1. Can we please finally stop with the 'He Gone"? I am pretty sure the vast majority of those who use it have no idea of the origin, and even for the few who do, it is way past played out.

2. That being said, seems like Hilliard is all but certain to OSU. Pretty weird to tweet about an upcoming decision and follow it up with such a blatant hint, but to each his own. OSU's payback for Jaylon Smith I guess. Call it even.

Clark responded to the tweet saying "Ohio state is dope bro"
Cornell then tweeted at Clark "You ain't lying bro it's sick"

What I'm getting from this is that Clark thinks Ohio State is drugs and Cornell is mentioning the venereal diseases he's already acquired from ΑΣΦ.

Yeah we're not winning this one if this is really a thing. Clark is potato, Cornell isn't being recruited, and Damien Harris has never had serious interest in ND as much as our staff would be VERY interested in him.

So now Bilal becomes VERY important and it's too bad Conner is off the board.

WHat did I miss?

Sorry, I shouldn't say that he isn't being recruited, but I firmly believe he is not a "take" right now and hasn't been for some time.

Agreed. Plus he seems like a little bit of a flake / follower the more this process plays out.

It's that time of the year where prospects who have met at camps etc play the Twitter game. Just yesterday Cornell tweeted to follow his girlfriend because she knows where he's going to college (I personally wouldn't want a bunch of creepy recruiting nuts following my girlfriend but whatever)

I still think ND is in this as much as osu.

He was just recently at Notre Dame, yet he is driving 8 hours round trip Cincy-South Bend-Columbus, when he could just make the 3 1/2hr trip to Columbus and back. He stated he has seen everything at ND, and just wants to hang with the commits and players.

To my knowledge, ND is the first school he will have stayed overnight twice at.

Im not dismissing that the chances are good he ends up at osu, but look at his actions not his words.

Cornell blatantly said that he and Hilliard weren't just trying to play together but they were trying to get a group of guys to go with them. You just saw the group and it's OSU.

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

The ONLY thing I'm holding out hope on this tweet is this - humor me, peeps:

IF Hilliard was leaning OSU, I'm wondering if this tweet would have read differently- perhaps something along the lines of "Wherever I go, looking forward to playing with my boys..."

Reason I say this is that OSU is the perceived leader for 2 if not 3 of the kids mentioned in the tweet. If that's the case, and they all talk - which I assume they do - then why would he have to HOPE to be able to convince them to TAG ALONG? I would think there is no convincing to be done. That said, the tweet could be him playing coy and essentially trolling the Iowa and ND fan base. But I don't see him as that kind of person.

However, I also don't see anyway he could have recently decided ND BEFORE coming to II, UNLESS he has known all along and has been trolling pOSU. Which, again, I don't see him as being that kind of person.

With all that said, the only logical answer if that NO ONE leads and that he will be deciding before the yet-to-be-named date in June. Now if THAT'S the case, I don't get why he would put a date on something if he doesn't even know what he wants yet.

I dunno. All I know is I just re-read everything I wrote and I'm officially confused. I feel bad for all you who read it.

You are right...if he chooses OSU he wont need others to "tag along". because they are essentially already there. After that...you lost me.

Agreed completely with TP and somewhat Piombino. I still think if he makes the visit to II, then he's Irish. My prediction. I don't think Hilliard follows Cornell's or Harris' recruiting as much as we think he does. He probably knows that ND is actively recruiting them, and he knows that ND's ties to Cornell's school has them well in it for him.

Honestly, this would be probably one of the biggest disappointments of the recruiting year. Moreso than Barnett, because this guy fits in perfectly at Notre Dame. Going to OSU in my opinion, would be a mistake. He has way too much academic potential to waste it in Columbus where they "don't come to play school".

I know that's not what you said, because it was MY prediction. However, your lack of faith has made Batman sad...

I know most everyone's on this board dislikes 247. It looks like all the crystal balls are coming in for Clark, Cornell, Hilliard and Harris all to OSU which really stinks to see. I know it's not over yet but I have to think the reporters must know something.

I don't know where his interest in joining Clark or Harris came from, but I hope Hilliard doesn't base his decision on this. It would be a total disappointment. He is one of the few elite RKG recruits out there, and for him to go to a school that shuns the idea of taking the academic side of the student athlete seriously would be just sickening. I'd hope that his relationship with CURRENT ND commits Shaun Crawford and Elijah Taylor and actually know him in his community (In Taylor's case) would influence his choice more than a few guys that COULD follow him elsewhere. I really hope he makes the right choice and chooses the school that has worked harder to show him what he would mean to Notre Dame and what Notre Dame would mean to him.

Maybe he means he wants those knuckleheads to take a harder look at ND. Frankly you could read just about anything you want into tweets.

Package deals rarely actually work out in the end, and of those four Hilliard's the only one we seem seriously in on. If he's coming this weekend, I'll believe we're still in it. But it's true that every CB on him for two months has been to OSU.

That would be uber crappy if 3 big time prior alleged ND leans committed to OSU on one of NDs big recruiting weekends. It would totally detract from the weekend. Mind you, I could actually give two ishs about Clark and Cornell

I bet you would be surprised how it wouldn't really matter. The coaches will be worrying about the Young man that made the effort to get there for II camp. I don't really thing that it will take anything away from our big weekend.
