So back to Elijah...I think that even if he does not give his commitment this weekend at some point we should not lose our heads. We ALL want this kid Irish, and I personally believe he will be sooner rather than later. But we were able to pull in two really good backs near the end of last cycle so let's all keep our heads this year. I believe we will be in for a much longer wait for some of these guys we are talking to this year. Patience by us to let our staff work their magic is going to help us all keep our sanity!

It was just a thought that occurred to me since it's now pretty commonplace to have somewhat of a play-by-play of a recruits' visit. I am guessing the top players are probably used to it since they probably get hounded by recruiting reporters constantly looking for info too.

On a unrelated note,I told my ND alum that there could be a good shot at a 5 star RB committing this weekend, so please don't let me down EH.

Again FWIW, IrishFan33 knows Elijah (has for 2 years) and would be surprised if he doesn't commit to ND soon, specifically said he would be shocked if it didn't happen this weekend.

This is a good vibe. However, I don't see him committing this weekend when he also has OSU and UM on the agenda. Doesn't mean that I can't hope though.

I'm hoping he takes those visits, talks with his parents about what he saw, and then becomes part of the #GoldenArmy14 next week.

I was thinking the same. Maybe he sees that he loves ND way more than the other schools and it works in our advantage, but then again it could go the other way just as easy.

You gotta appreciate Kelly taking Elijah on a tour of the grounds. Taking that time to personalize a recruitment like that speaks volumes to where we are going! Got my fingers crossed for EH because as you all know, he is big time!

Per 247 the visit pretty much confirmed everything he thought about ND, he visited with his AD and seven other students, doesn't have a top 5 just ND is #1, weighing all his options by taking visits, thinks he is pretty much done with the process and decision could come soon

Sapp basically said that he feels if we get out of this weekend he'll commit very soon after. Love his combination of speed and power. During his highlight around the 2:25 mark he flat out burns the corners and safeties that have good angles on him and around the 515 mark he stiff arms one guy to the ground then shoulders another on the way to the end zone.

Well everyone sure seems confident... I think the only thing that can really shake us now would be eye opening visits to Michigan/Ohio State... which are both possible. Remember how much things changed with Ezekiel Elliot overnight?

Another thing that sapp said about him still taking these visits is that's just the kind of kid he is. It's not a reflection of him not being convinced this is where he wants to be it's more him being a man of his word and following through.

Oh I know. Night and day different situation. Just saying situations can do a 180 after a visit. I could pull out a dozen examples from last year just picked the one that had both Ohio State and ND involved.

His only visit after this weekend is to the Duke-UNC bball game (March 9th) so don't expect a commitment until after then per Sampson
