Agreed. I really like the other kid too, but I think that Waller having time to develop could be best case scenario while Kelly develops him.

Yeah, there was a rumor making the rounds in the wee hours of last night that a QB commitment was on the horizon. My follow up post cryptically alludes to who the rumor is about

I still don't know how much value (if any) there was to the rumor but this announcement about an announcement is sorta promising.

I don't think that he was option 2, I think it was more ND being committed to their commit. Now that it is not the case anymore we obviously have to go in another direction.

This is 100% exactly my worry. Bama, OSU, Auburn or someone else comes calling that shakes things up late. With that being said, I have no clue why someone like Waller would ever even consider Bama/Kiffin. Horrible fit for him.

Agreed. But the allure of Bama is enough for recruits far too often.

I'm just afraid we'll be left holding the bag when Stidham is solid to TT and Francois is solid to FSU.

Yeah, I asked a friend of mine about this tonight that follows OSU recruiting closely. He thinks they're fine with just Burrow if they miss on Gibson (which it looks like they're all but out of it right now), but I don't believe they would ignore Waller at that point.

The beautiful irony here is that Hopkins is the one reporting that it's a commitment. What's it going to be Irish fans? Hopkins is right and we get Waller? Or spitefully root for him to be wrong and it's something else?
