Can't say I've followed him all that closely since coming to Oregon but below is more of the same from his HS days. Granted it's a spring game, but I'm not sure he's ever going to be a P5 QB, or at least a good one.

Herbert completed 16 of 26 passes for 327 yards and four touchdowns. Jonsen completed 5 of 15 passes for 86 yards with an interception.

yeah did a bit of reading of some oregon boards, kid has stunk it up since he got to campus apparently. all they got as a backup is a RS FR.

I remember when for a hot minute much of 247 thought he was heading to ND with the recently decomitted Blake Barnett presumably heading to Oregon. Glad it didn't play out like that. I remember reading "better athlete than QB" a lot.

Yep, grossly overrated coming out of HS. His senior numbers were quite bad.

Oh, and we ended up with Wimbush. Definitely got the better end of this deal.

RCC, huh? wow 5mins from my house.

RCC has always been that kind of school that good local, socal athletes elected to go to when they could not qualify academically for anything better, or they had discipline/legal problems that kept them from a bigger/better school. Most disappear into oblivion.

they have a great field tho, so he's got that going for him.
