Coming June 15-16 with Oregon getting the last visit

Sampson thinks ND is hitting all the right notes and pitching him to be the next Michael Floyd

GB's 2nd fav WR in this class

I know it sounds like we're saying this just like Urbie uses he's the next Percy Harvin but he actually moves like Floyd. Their games are scarily similar.

Just saw his interview at the 5 star challenge and i think this could easily swing Oregons way especially with Barnett so excited about them as well. You have to think Barnett may now be recruiting him to go to Oregon instead of Notre Dame. Once again I hope that i am wrong this is the second interview that i have seem him talk about ND and he does seem very excited about us as well.

Yeah I think losing Barnett could definitely lead to Ofodile heading to Oregon. We'll see.

Yeah... had the same exact concern, and it only got worse when I heard one of our commits (Barajas) wouldn't be their to rep ND. Really wish this could have gone down differently.

I agree with GB on St. Brown and Ofodile being the biggest wants at this point. With Sanders and Guyton onboard, I think the staff definitely takes two more. My ranked list of who I think the staff has a good chance of landing for those last two spots:

1a) ESB
1b) Ofodile
3) Broadus
4) Newsome
5) Boykin
6) Miller

I don't they have a legit chance with Kirk.

Kinda wish we wouldn't have accepted Guyton's commitment so early. He doesn't have near the ceiling of Ofodile or ESB and you can always grab a low four star WR late.

Newsome is your boy. I need to watch his tape again.

I would take those three. And could you put a bow on it?

Yes he is, we haven't had a talent like that on the roster (for long, Davonte Neal) under BK. What makes the Ducks offense so good isn't some magical play that Chip Kelly created. Its a philosophy and a speed that they do it at. Then you get kids that are fast and quick enough to carry it out. We need those type of players and thats exactly what Newsome is.

I don't think Oregon will be a factor at all really

Yea, I haven't thought that either until he lite up when talking about Barnett at the Columbus NFTC and now Barnett is going for the bad guys. Put it this way I'm taking them more seriously now than I was before, just a little bit though.

In the video Ofodile states that he wanted to commit this weekend becuase he thought he would be ready to do so, but then he started to get more offers from Michigan State and Oregon. He also stated he is excited about those two along with getting back to ND. Thats why i think its dumb to say Oregon is of no concern especially when we just saw what happened with Barnett. Ofodile mentioned the dept chart of Oregon with Michael Huff leaving. Do you really think they have no chance?

i say they do.....less than 2 weeks ago, barnett was personally recruiting him to ND and developed a relationship...im sure the pitch of him being his qb could just as easily translate to Oregon

According to 247's Steve Wiltfong, UK is one of the top four schools for Ofodile. He just tweeted that Kentucky, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Oregon are his leaders.

Establishing a relationship with a program like Allen will pay dividends. In the last six years, Westerberg and his staff have three Texas 5 A state championships to their credit. Can't go wrong recruiting players from prestige programs like Aquinas(Cody Riggs was this year's dividend), American Heritage, Gorman, Don Bosco.

Could not disagree with you more and let me explain to you why. I could go on and on about how I really like Guyton's film and think he is underrated by recruiting websites...but I will sum this up in 3 words. ALLEN HIGH SCHOOL

Scoring a commit from Allen, and possibly making some in-roads and building relationships at that school goes far beyond the importance of any one recruit ANYWHERE. This kid is not only playing against top competition, but if there is one school anywhere in the country that Notre Dame wants to build solid relationships it is Allen. I live down here in Frisco, and the talent coming out of this area right now is off the charts. Gregory Little will likely be the unanimous #1 player in the nation on every recruiting website next year..we are in the mix early, and having Guyton and some of the other TX guys in his ear can only help. Guyton is definitely a more than capable player who could do great things at ND, but don't think for a second that our coaches aren't thinking big picture here too.

I don't see Oregon as a serious threat either.

Te'o4Heisman as a good point, Allen has Murray committed to A&M, a OT to OU, Guyton to ND. Gregory Little soon to A&M and a couple other 2016s w/ big offers already. Big talent.

Disagree. ND isnt a place where you can slow play kids and it work out most of the time. ND couldnt grab a low 4 star WR late last year after the I-Mac situation. I dont think you realize that you cant just pick up the phone and offer a kid late in the recruiting cycle and he will be blown away that ND is offering him.

Guyton was the best WR on one of the best programs in the state of Texas. Its a no brainer to take him if he wants to come.

You and NDSean need to have a baby. Maybe a neutral post will come of it instead of one being unrealistically positive and the other ridiculously negative...I'll supply the alcohol and candles.

You aren't kidding. It's kind of freaking how much they look alike on the field. Floyd is bigger but they both have that high/stiff shoulder look, upright gait, and determined/deliberate way of getting into gear.

Forgive me for the late bump, Koon.
