If Zaire hints about transferring or if Kizer gets to campus and is disgruntled, then yes for sure. Otherwise, it depends how the numbers/injuries shake down. If we keep Zaire, Kizer, and keep Barnett in the fold QB is not a pressing need.

FWIW, it was either Wiltfong or Loy that recently said if we land Barnett we will not be going after another QB. With that said I agree with Rack that it's a wait and see situation for the exact reasons he stated.

Then there's that which TP alluded to in CB's thread. I'm hoping he's just messing with us, but if we see interest in another QB this cycle it might be time to hit the panic button on Golson.

All he was saying is there is no guarantee Golson will be the starter next year. A) he may be passed by; B) he may not win the coaches trust back.

I can't see anyone beating him out after he's been able to spend six months working on his position. There's also the mental factor of already starting that he has over the others. Since he's re-enrolling, I'm guessing he's already done a lot to win back some of that trust.

He's earned my trust back. I mean... he worked hard to become a better football player while he has been gone, and he seemingly worked on his character, evidenced by him returning and not taking the easy way out (juco).

I've seen a lot of humility in this kid and I believe that he's going to come back a hungry, humble and focused young man in peak physical condition.

He's gonna be good.

I'm all for going after Waller. Pretty similar prospect.

I'm not worried unless one of our QBs transfers out. We are in a better situation than we have been in a long time.

James Morgan is the obvious "depth" add.

Riley Neal, in state guy, is another interesting depth QB. Michigan had some interest in him.

Yorktown is essentially a suburb of Muncie where I'm from and located. I don't think Neal is going to be considered.

He has been doing the camp thing for awhile if I've heard correctly (with not too much to show for it). Michigan flirtation was due to relationships built when Hoke was at BSU, I think.

I think you want one for roster depth but I don't think we will get a qb that is D1 starting material

I know you guy don't care much for my film opinion, but I don't really care that you don't care, lol.

Watched Morgan's film today. To me, he's a Tommy Rees with Hendrix's legs. Weak arm but decent touch.

I hope he's not our QB. But I guess if he is, he won't scare away 2016 guys.
