FYI- This also happened when Bush was elected (the 2004).....

Is it now "childish" and "embarrrassing"??

Fair point haven't seen it addressed yet.

Again...where were you in 2004 when the left pulled the same thing?

By the way, the west coast would be doing ALL of us a favor by breaking off. (but you can't take Vegas with you)

[/B]

What do conservatives want from a place called "Sin City" :eek:grin:

I am fairly conservative, but I'd love me some Vegas. MMMM....sins of the flesh...

But I also love Texas and I don't want Texas to leave. Whether you agree with it or not, the fact that we had a peaceful election take place are one of the things that make our country special. Let's move on with our lives and make the best of it.

I love you all.

Thank you.

Good night.

LOL! Awesome!....Except you mentioned "Farmworker" and "California" in the same sentence....Are you guys too worried about the enviroment to be farming? "Delta Smelt" ring a bell??

Come on man you're getting way ahead of everything. The delta smelt are introduced in episode 2. I'll brain storm and float my pitch later. Lol.

Oh, I love this country and I don't think it will happen in the end...but it's fun to discuss. And technically, it could.

Thanks for the warning.

You keep running up debt and telling people they can't drink large sodas.

reps..

And I love the irony of pot legalization and soda regulation. BTW, I'm not for or against pot legalization, I just find it odd that in some places you can smoke your head off, and in another, you can't order a large Pepsi.

And one more about NY. I read a few weeks back that restaurants in NY can no longer donate unsued food to homeless shelters because the restaurants could not effectively determine fat and sodium content, or some close to that.... So the guy sleeping in the gutter should starve instead of getting a little too much lard or salt in his diet. GEEEEESHHH

I think all of those states will miss the roughly 1/3 of their budgets that are provided by the federal government. For Texas, it is something like $35 billion. Poof. Gone.......

let me first say, I don't want anyone to secede, but I'd prefer to hear fact and data. Fact and data would suggest something different in terms of economic stability.

I would suggest you take a look at state debt per capita rankings. Texas is one of the best, while NY, CA are amongst the worst. See below from 2010.

Texas is also #3 in gross collection of Federal Taxes so one could say we might miss them.

If you also take a look at Federal funds, NY and CA are almost twice the amount TX. Take a look at CA's unemployment funding.

Would also point out that TX is one of the most natural resource rich states in America.

My comments are not about the politics of yesterday or today, but the structure and responsibility of government itself.

And my point is still valid. The founders were products of their time and the events that they lived through. Who the Hell knows what they would think of the structure and responsibility of government if they were born today.

So basically you are saying the founding principles are outdated and irrelevant for today's world. Not my belief but I Irespect yours.

The sad part is you are being completely serious.

Yes, you got me. I'm being completely serious. I always put a smiley face after everything I write. If I were a doctor, I'd hand out all diagnosis on a slip of paper with a smiley face. Mr. Jones, I'm sorry to inform you that you have cancer :)

Not true at all. Pot, while not the worst thing you can do, isn't "good for you". Anything that you put in your lungs that isn't air, is not "good for you".

that's ignorant.

I'm all for legalization...but it is pretty ironic

Pot leads to Cheetos:
Cheetos are made with "real cheese":
"Real cheese" has milk in it:
Milk is good for you.

Therefore, pot is good for you.

Heart disease is caused by things like pop. It's the leading killer in the united states.

Nobody has ever died from a bong hit.

Simply because nobody has died from it, doesn't mean it's good for you.

And don't get me wrong, I'm all for legalization. But don't try and sell me that it's good for you. It's not. You're still inhaling smoke in your lungs....And like smoking,. it does increase the risk of lung cancer.

Wooly, love ya, but I don't want anyone regulating my pop intake. If I can buy a 40 at the convenient store, I want to be able to grab a 40 ounce diet Mountain Dew fountain drink before work after long night of proposals and spreadsheets. I'm cool with pot legalization, couldn't care less, but to regulate size of pop, and alow all these energy drinks, 40s, etc.. little too much for me.
