I feel like I was watching Golson, lol. Surprised he doesn't have many offers and such low ratings.

But IMO, Franceisco's arm is just as strong. Franceisco has a rocket launcher.

So quick note on Kendall Hinton. I don't know if he's actually on the staff's radar at all... he's really undersized, but BY FAR the most prolific thrower of the football of any of the dudes that have popped up on the board the last few days. Has very Bridgewater-esque film and has a giant highlight tape of him just slinging it all over the yard.

I think he'd be a great add if we end up out of the running for the premium QBs we're currently looking at, and I hope the staff notices him.

Jr Year Highlight - Kendall Hinton highlights

Seriously... grab yourself a tall drink, watch those highlights, and then go watch the other QBs we're looking at. It's not even close. Hinton is dropping 50 yard dimes all over the field to WRs in stride.

If you can stand listening to the same soundtrack the whole highlight film, you get to see the kid run and he's freaking great at that too. Wow.

This kid must be impossible to get into school or only 5'6" or something because that tape is awesome.

Yeah, his highlight video is LONG. From the 7 minute mark to the 10 minute mark is actually where he makes all the plays with his legs. He's no Denard Robinson, but he has very decent athleticism. Really reminds me of Bridgewater.

H/T to TP for finding this gem. Right now he has mostly regional DI offers (NC State, Duke, etc.) and could be the next Russell Wilson flying under the radar.

I'd love to see Bridgewater make people miss like that.

I think for guys of similar stature, I saw more in Kendall's highlights that I like than Kyler Murray's.

He's being recruited HARD by Duke, so I think his academics are fine. I've heard he's like 5'10"-5'11" though... which is an insta turnoff for the Diacos of the world.

my guess --

The knock on him is that about 98% of his throws are when his WRs are running streaks and he is launching it when the WRs burn past the CBs or S

While hes accurate and strong; the thinking, progressions, and difficulty of execution are not there on the highlight film. Maybe its a completely different story in camp settings or whatever, but in college youre not going to have 5 deep routes with the ability of WRs burning corners every time

The reason I like him so much is he goes through his progressions, so there is an understanding of the offense and defense principles already. His accuracy would fit in well with what Notre Dame wants their QBs to do. He can hit all the throws with accuracy, and throw to the short/long side of the field.

Elston told him him that he reminded them of Golson. I agree, but hes probably a level below Golson in everything from size to arm strength. But he is more than efficient for what ND needs from the position.

I dont know if he ever visited last year, I cant remember, but he did have an invite to the summer camp ND ran last year.

Just to be sure TP ... which him/he are you referring to?

Completely unconfirmed maybe completely bullshit rumor just popped up that we have a pending verbal at QB. Trying to chase this down, but it's hella late at night.

I'm sorry but info gathering has hit a wall at this hour.

Let's see if anyone gets it. And then let's see if this rumor is total bullshit lol.

No offense, but when did you see him going through progressions in that tape? To me it was more wait til your WR burnt past the corner and hit em deep. They're were few throws that were intermediate range, but not nearly as many as you'd see from a typical prospect

Maybe he does better in camps or his offense is just built to win games like that, i don't know, but I would disagree about the progressions

There were quite a few throws that he hit his 2nd or 3rd read. You can see his footwork change/head turn/etc. Yea the majority of his throws are deep, but he consistently hits the right pass in his highlight. Id love to see an entire game, bc watching an entire Golson game in high school was completely different than his highlights.

The only thing this staff hasn't done yet is successfully keep a Elite QB.

Domino effect: Quinten Dormady, Blake Barnett cause movement

The moving pieces of the quarterback recruiting puzzle continue to shift and there have been more big movements over the past few days. It’s time for another look at the quarterback dominos.

Quinten Dormady opted for Tennessee on Monday night after narrowing it down to the Vols and Alabama.

Notre Dame – The Irish lost their long time quarterback commit Blake Barnett who decommitted following a visit to Oregon and looks destined to become a Duck. The Irish promptly extended offers to Texas Tech commit Jarrett Stidham and Top100 passer Travis Waller. The most likely commitment of the two would seem to be Waller who has narrowed his choices to Notre Dame, Ohio State, Northwestern and Alabama.

Oregon – With Barnett’s decommitment from Notre Dame, the Ducks have focused their attention on him and have let the Waller ship sail. This likely means rising star Sam Darnold is also a pass for Oregon.

Alabama – Alabama extended an offer recently to Texas four-star Quinten Dormady but the Tide was a little late to the party and on Monday night Dormady committed to Tennessee where he had a stronger relationship in place. Now Alabama seems to be slowly creeping up the list for Waller and is becoming a viable threat to land him. The only other quarterback currently on the radar for the Tide looks to be Barnett. He’ll visit but remains an Oregon lean. The Tide remain among the favorites for the top quarterback in 2016, Jacob Eason, and with him keeping a close eye on depth chart, the Tide may not force the issue on a passer they don’t love.

Tennessee – Tennessee can breathe a big sigh of relief with the commitment of Dormady on Monday night. For a program in desperate need of depth at the quarterback position, Tennessee was running out of options for elite passers in the 2015 cycle. The only negative to that Dormady commitment is that it hurts the Vols in their Torrance Gibson hunt. Auburn could be slowly taking the edge for the athletic lefty.

Florida State – The Seminoles likely lead for four-star IMG Academy quarterback Deondre Francois. They also are trending for four-star Kai Locksley. With De’Andre Johnson already committed, Florida State is going to take one more quarterback and it will likely be whomever commits first between Locksley and Francois. At this point, that is looking like a coin flip.

Auburn – Auburn still is in good shape for Torrance Gibson, though he may doesn’t seem to be any closer to making a decision. But what happens if Locksley commits to Florida State? The Tigers would then be the probable leader for Francois. If Francois decides to pull the trigger for Auburn (or if Locksley does for that matter), where would that leave the Tigers for Gibson? Auburn would have two four-star quarterbacks with Tyler Queen already committed and suddenly Ohio State would be back in the Torrance Gibson game.

Ohio State – The Buckeyes recently landed a commitment from four-star Joe Burrow but continue to recruit Gibson as their second quarterback. Ohio State also remains within the final four for Travis Waller. If Gibson starts to trend towards Ohio State, expect Travis Waller to head elsewhere with Notre Dame, Northwestern and Alabama being his other finalists.

Northwestern – The Wildcats are much more of a player in the Waller sweepstakes than most realize. Pat Fitzgerald and his staff have the longest relationship with Waller among his finalists and they offer academic prestige that he seeks. But should Waller end up at Notre Dame or Alabama, Northwestern’s attention would turn directly towards Sam Darnold in San Clemente, Calif. Jason Pellerin out of Louisiana was the other favorite of the Northwestern staff but after his recent commitment to Ole Miss, Darnold and Waller remain.

Cincinnati – That recent commitment by Pellerin to Ole Miss meant that the Rebels were opting for Pellerin over four-star Ross Trail. Trail would have likely committed had he landed the offer that Pellerin got. Now Cincinnati looks like the benefactor and has positioned itself to nab a commitment out of Trail.

That is one long, convoluted mess of QB's there. July cannot come quickly enough to see how this all plays out.

Amazingly only the 3rd QB they offered in the last 2 years. Didn't offer anyone in '14 besides Chryst and now Town and Wimbush in '15.
