This is said every year and we never do. It will be another typical Notre Dame vs. Michigan game

Oh god, I really hope that isn't the case. A "typical" ND-Michigan game usually involves ND playing one of their worst, if not, their worst game of the year. Seriously, I'm baffled at how badly they do against Michigan.

2009 - Defense couldn't do sh*t against Forcier. Poor clock management + horrible play calling = last second loss
2010 - Defense couldn't do sh*t against Denard. Injuries to QB put them in a hole = last second loss
2011 - Defense locked down Denard, offense was steady and efficient...then the 4th quarter happens. Defense looks lost and can't do sh*t against Denard, offense floundering = last second loss...
2012 - Golson nerves get to him, throws 2 bad interceptions, Rees comes in, does okay. Offense in general sucked. Defense forced bad throws from Denard, turns to turnovers = Very ugly win.
2013 -...This was definitely the sloppiest, and worst played game of the last 5. Everything that went wrong in those first 4, happened in this one. Rees played well overall, but threw costly interceptions at the WORST possible time. Running game was non-existent. Defense made Gardner look like Jameis f*cking Winston. Bumbling secondary can't tackle = Very ugly loss.

And every year, the same shit is a result. Michigan goes down the crapper. 2009, Michigan beats ND, proceeds to go 5-7. 2010, beat ND, finish 7-6 and get thwomped by Mississippi State. 2011, guess is an exception, beat ND, wins Sugar Bowl. However, Michigan had one of the easiest schedules in college football that year, and played a Virginia Tech squad that just came off getting torched by Clemson in the ACC Championship. 2013, beat ND, finish 7-6 while getting pasted by Kansas State.

I find it weird how Notre Dame continues to struggle with Michigan. They're never that good. Never, at any point, did I think "Yeah, Michigan was better than us". Then why does ND constantly struggle against them? Even in their lone win in 5 years, they still looked terrible. What is it with this game?

ND-scUM reminds me of ND-MSU, except the flip side.

ND can't seem to get over the hump. 2012 was cool, but '09, '10, '11 and '13 suuuuucked. MSU has to feel the same about the past 5 years against ND. Good team, plays crappy game against an opponent that plays well ('09, '11, '12 and '13 were years where MSU fans probably felt like ND fans after a Michigan game).

$307 Michigan at Ohio State
$260 Texas vs. Oklahoma

$219 Texas A&M at Alabama
$219 Stanford at Notre Dame
$216 Clemson at Georgia
$205 Auburn at Georgia
$201 Florida at Alabama

$195 LSU at Texas A&M
$185 Florida vs. Georgia
$184 South Carolina at Clemson
$174 Georgia at South Carolina
$173 Virginia Tech at Ohio State

$170 UNC at Notre Dame
$169 Ohio State at Penn State

$164 Notre Dame at Florida State
$161 Michigan at Michigan State
$158 Oklahoma State at Oklahoma

$117 Michigan State at Oregon

Best value according to @CoachingBuzz: LSU at Auburn for $133

Best value according to @CoachingSearch: LSU at Auburn for $133 or Ohio State at Penn State for $169

No chance I’m paying according to @CoachingBuzz: Michigan at Notre Dame for $419

No chance I’m paying according to @CoachingSearch: VA Tech at Ohio State for $173

Life is really going to suck after I graduate and season tickets are no longer available for 245 dollars...

Do you plan on living within driving distance post graduation? Or is that gonna be a convenience thing?

I'd be more concerned with coming up with bail after you are arrested for indecent exposure than what is going to happen to your season tickets… just me…

I'm straight up flying to South Bend without a ticket so....

My plan is to wait until after kickoff or get a ticket for face value from a drunk alum or something day of.

I've never tried it before, but everyone says waiting outside at kickoff always works to get a cheap ticket, no matter the game.

I want to do it for this game, but it makes me nervous.

I couldn't even give away a ticket to the MSU game in 2011. I think it depends on how willing you are to handle the anxiety of not having a ticket.

If I had an immediate backup plan, I'd do it no problem.

Say I couldn't get my hands on a ticket for some reason, I would literally start a one-man riot if I was missing ND-Michigan for any amount of time, even the fifteen minutes it would take to walk to a bar (if said bar even had availability).

But if I knew I had a tailgate spot with satellite hooked up just in case? I'd do it fo sho.

Has anyone ever tried and failed in the alumni ticket lottery? I've gotten my tickets every year but I've never put in for the marquee game of the season. What are the odds?

No I just do the minimum. You should be good if you are in one of the societies.

Sorry for the bump.

I've been checking ticket prices every week and they've remained ~$400 for the cheapest ones on stubhub.

I came across this site, which I hadn't heard of before, and they have some as low as $230.

For receiving the tickets, the week of the game they give you the pick up location, and it's never more than 2 miles from the stadium.

Just a heads up in case anyone's about to purchase.

That team in the thread title, fuck em.

The lottery results for alumni and friends of the university haven't come out yet. Nobody actually HAS any tickets to sell except for season ticket holders and maybe a very few others. Prices will drop sometime later this summer.

I wonder if it's even worth trying the website right at 6pm for this game, or if I should just try for Louisville right away.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say this game probably won't be available for individual ticket sales...

If I recall last year, they only had individual ticket sales for Temple, Navy, and BYU....basically the crummier home games based on possible weather and opponent. Michigan State might have been available for sale too, I don't recall. I'm pretty sure Michigan and USC weren't available, they were sold out or just weren't there.

Well poop, I thought they had an allotment of single game tix for every contest.

Yeah, I was hoping for the same last year when I got online at work as soon as ticket sales were available. BYU tickets were bought up fast, followed by Temple a little while after (warmer game, more beneficial), and Navy hung around for awhile because ticket demand is pretty low for Navy in November.
